Stats mean little.
If I only shoot my gun when I’m right next to people, I get great accuracy, but if I also shoot at long range it drops off horribly.
And of course, even if you were comparing the same style of play, the oppenents change dramaticly from server to server. There are plenty of servers where I can go and kill 20 people per life every life, then others I go and I can barely get one kill every 4-5 lifes.
And an answer to the topic question, FREAKISHLY good.
The old saying “practice makes perfect” applies to everything =P
If you play 5-6 hours a day, every day, for a couple of years - of course your aim and overall skill with a game will improve and you will be way better than any “casual” player.
Imho high acc is not only about good aim but also anticipating the enemy and position himself accordingly.
If you see/hear/know someone coming round the corner and he is unaware of your presence, you will have the upper hand and can get that so important first headshot (and maybe second).
This is when the “WALLHACKING BASTARD!!” accusations start flying =)
stats mean nothing, certainly not on pubs
I once had something like 120/2 on railgun, and only 5 deaths total in a 6 map campaign (my day of glory 
), but that doesn’t change the fact that I suck compared to any top or even sub-top player 
If the enemy is willing to stand still and not hurt me, I can even get nice accuracies of around 80%

anyway stats dont meen nothing realty. All thay can do is give u an idear how good someone is in that game. Ull probobly find that some of the best players actualy are the ones with the most death’s… as thay are consentrating more on gettin the job done than killing 
Now I have my days and all can I consider myself an exceptional player but when I’m on I’m ON. My highest Headshots was during Oasis as Axis, I had 81 kills and 106 headshots… the only reason I haven’t got a SS is because I don’t know how to take them in weird screens… does one just hold ctrl and hit F11? Whatever the screen shot button is. Plus that night I was just doin better than I ever recalled…
Anyways, I’ll see what I can do tonight.
And to stay on topic, some people are just sick at this game. I’m pretty good, and I’ve had my moments where one guy can come into a server and dethrone me very voilently and mercilessly. That’s what I just stare at the screen like… :eek3: for 10 minutes.
I didnt read the whole post so forgive if this is a repeat. The best way Ive found to improve my aiming skills is simply to play on limited lives servers.
Of course the mouse sensitivity/friction/Hz per sec etc all count…but I havent tweaked them so cant comment.
I wince at that comment… I find too many veterans of OLTL servers are overly cautious and those are the kind of people that drive me nuts… too worried about dying to bother accomplishing an objective or even attacking.
I’m not saying you’re like that EvilBaga. I’m just stating my experiences with OLTL guys… I used to play on the SmokeHerb.net OLTL servers back in RtCW when they had that pot bot that kept your scores (first one I had ever seen that did so) I had a 2.33 ktD ratio, and I was ranked top 10! w00t.
PB screenshots doesn’t show the true brightness/contrast though, so it’s possible that it’s much brighter on the client’s monitor. Which other tweaks do you think will affect your performance? I can think of weather effects and drawgun, although other things might help indirectly by raising FPS.
