How does rank advancement really work?

(Ako) #1

Can you point me to a resource on rank advancement?

I made liutenent with only 147 XP, but I was lvl 4 engineer. I didn’t have any other stars.

So I’m wondering, how does this really work? Is there a chart somewhere that shows you what you need for each rank?

Did you read the manual?

1 star in a skill Private 1st Class
2 stars in the same skill Corporal
3 stars in the same skill Sergeant
4 stars in the same skill Lieutenant

when you reach 4 stars in 2 skill : Captain
in 3 skills : Major
in 4 skills : Colonel

and so on with Brigadier General, Lieutenant General and General

This is in the manual but not in these terms.

… and so on for the other skills. Your rank will mostly advance when getting a new chevron (at 20, 50, 90 resp. 140 points).

Your rank depends on the number of chevrons you have, click here for more details.

Don’t think this is the right place to post this but I find it strange that I get awarded things like whenever I look a tree up and down or something equally non combat related like, looking left.

That’s battle sense, it’s awarded at 30 second intervals. How much you get depends on what you have done during that interval.

Thanks. That’s exactly what I was looking for.

Good idea: Rename “Battle Sense” to “Warm Fuzzies”

Why? Because it seems to me, that every time you stop to enjoy nature, or the scenery, or perhaps wax philosophical on things, you get Battle Sense XP, which just makes you feel all good inside.

Because that’s the hidden message, right? If we take time to reflect upon the true nature of our existence, a path of peace opens up.

I hear there’s even a hidden campaign that opens when all players FROM BOTH TEAMS go to the bank vault, lie prone until all players reach Lvl 4 Battle Sense, and then you begin the “Road to Heaven” campaign.

The campaign consists of 3 maps, like the other 2, which has strong historical basis as well.

First map is at the original CandyLand factory, it turns out it was originally a Nazi Propaganda board game, and allies have to blow up the production plant.

Second map takes place in the Mystical Land of Narnia, where the Axis are making war-machines.

The last map is much more serious, it’s at Hitler’s bunker, when allies finally capture it, a hidden cutscene plays to reveal Hitler as … Papa Smurf!
