Topic is straight forward. As new custom maps are released, and new campaigns are created, how do you create the .pk3 file for a new campaign? I know how to edit the newcampaign.cfg (I think). A tutorial on making a campaign from scratch with existing maps is appreciated.
How do you create .pk3 file for new custom campaigns?

You can create a PK3 file using winzip (or any other zip program i guess). IRC you shouldn’t use compression.

After wrestling with this for some time, I finally figured out how to create custom campaign pk3 files.
Create your campaign file(s) and place them in a folder called scripts. Compress the folder, with the files inside, using winzip with normal compression. Then simply name the new zip file to include the .pk3 extension.

Just clarify this - and it should really have been put in the editing forum but hey
- What makes a campaign is the ***/campaign file inside the scripts folder - which is inside the pak0.pk3 file
You will have to create your own folder called scripts
- I would advise against compression for pl3 files - pk3 files are used to bunch files together - not compress them - if ET can read the files for a start is a problem - but having to decompress the archive doesnt help things much
