Just saw this today… how did this CovOps got up there ?
I didn’t see how he got there so it’s entirely possible that he was blown up there by an explosion … or is there a tricky way to go there ‘legaly’ ?

I know thats fueldump but, is that the rock at the very back facing axis base just along from the CP/Nested MG? If so, then you do know its possible to climb up the larger moutain at the back by a quick swerve next to the lowest tree at point of meet between the 2 paths at the back joining the cave path to the CP path? Then it’d be a case of just dropping down precisely on the rock? If it isnt then im clueless
- afaik every rock on Fuel is possible one way or another to scale by a few quick jumps/jump crouches…
It’s the big rock at the bridge, on the allied side and you can’t climb up the big hill
Hrms, cant picture it
Not played Allies/FD in a while
- Ill take a look when I get home… which is an Hour and a Half… weeps
Was Friendly Fire on?
If it wasn’t then he could be blown up by a teammate with a grenade
He could have gotten up there with the help of a teammate through the use of stacking, that would be the most plausable explanation
FF was on and I doubt that somebody helped him up there, it was a public server and my team was playing pretty uncoordinated (we had 4 CovOps in a team of 9 players… 'nuff said
).
there is a way up there just by climping the big hill
suggest watching kernel panic’s trick jump movie for more info on this tactic
Yeah, it’s a jump - easy one too.
Look for a split on the hill wall to the right of it. The hill is non-climbable - but the split poly IS climbable - similar to the poly above the little fence before the Fuel Dump defenses that you use to get up to jump over the East Defenses.
…run up there, jump across
I’ve once ended up there…I think I moved forward and left along the hill. Thing is, I’ve never been able to replicate it…but it is possible.

There’s a demo of an Axis Panzerfaust getting up there in the trickjump movie in this thread:

It’s about a third of the way through… just after the the Axis flamer campsite on Battery shot.
Yeah, right to the left of the lagometer in your pic you see the triangle which you can climb, then sprint, jump and ride across till you land on top. You can get stuck there though.
just watch for the invisible brush or clip or whatever the hell it is, I think its the map ceiling so that’s the orange line. to aviod it you have to jump before the edge or you’ll jump into it and fall.

aviod going into the most hidden corner up there, thats where you get stuck - will have to gren your feet or /kill.
