i find it strange how ā€œrebelā€ or ā€œresistanceā€ in this day and age makes most people think about Africa and quite often kid soldiers. it’s like a ā€œnormalā€ citizen of, say America or Europe wouldn’t ever think of rebelling…

(Nikto) #63

i fail to see how a resistance fighter wouldn’t know how to use a gun by default.

(SebaSOFT) #64

Europeans are rebelling, just see the news…

Indeed there are different form of rebellions, but in, say, more policed countries it is harder to find weapon in quantities for cheap without regulation (xcept in teh Canada but with Nail around, I can understand why these guys have guns), that why armed resistance or rebelion occur more in Africa and other countries IMO.

Now why do many people think first about these kind of rebelion is easy, its more violent, and when its more violent it attracts more your first sight or thought, then when you take time to think about stuffs calmly, there is probably more to say (from historical, political and philosophical aspects) about Gandhi’s ā€œpeacefullā€ revolution than about the aforementioned braindead kiddo soldier who dont even know (most of the time) for which faction they are fighting for.

Meh two paragraphs already, cant … go … moarrrrrrrrgh…

Peace

The Resistance are insurgents more than rioting rebels.

(BioSnark) #67

Stable, progressive countries have peaceful outlets for dissent and the ability to suppress violent dissent.

resistance side gamplay in Brink isnt cosist ā€œinsurgencyā€, ā€œsabotageā€, ā€œespionageā€ aspects of Resistance activity.
maybe in DLC something change.
at least in Slplinter Cell way[ā€œsabotageā€ part of it].

Like the ā€œMorph Ovumā€ in Heretic. Then you don’t even have to shoot him, you just have to step on him.
