Hi!

After reading in these forums for a while, I finally decided to participate in a more active way. I put my autoexec together after researching nice scripts and usefull binds.
Took me a while and I was finally having a stable fps at 76 and everything I wanted so far.
Was pretty happy untill I tried to send a message to everybody.
The key bind is at default t and so it stands in my autoexec. I push t, it opens the dialog where you type your message in and I type, then send it.
But nothing appears on the screen. :???:
I check my autoexec and bind t “messagemode” is listed there.

Can anyone tell me whether this is a bug or whether there is a command to dissable the appearance of “messagemode” messages which I might have put somewhere in my autoexec without knowing about it?

Every other messagemode works. I was so near to my perfect config :bash:

It was this script:
bind MOUSE5 “+zoom;+attack;-attack;-zoom;vstr say”
set say “say_team ^1fireinthehole ^6Firing for Effect!”

The first line is fine, but the 2nd one caused the problem. Strange…

yes, if you make a cvar with the same name as a command, that command will no longer work. say is the global say command.

This shows that one should better learn to understand scripting before using random scripts, which could be broken.
