Hi all

(Angel1) #1

Just wanted to pop on and say hello to everyone and how much im looking forward to ET:QW.

I guess like yourselfs i really cant wait to play the game, Ive recently come from the beta test of bf2142 which was ok (only just) but this game has really caught my eye and it seems that (from the footage ive seen) a far more team orientated game (fantastic).

Anyways just thought i should say hi and look forward to the any snippets of information that may pop up on here.

Take care

Hi Angel1, welcome to the best forum.
So, what will you play the most do you think? Strogg or humans? I think I will play alot of strogg. And I am hoping there will be maps available where we not only have to defende but also steal stuff and destroy human property for teh win.

Thanks guys and a nice warm welcome

Edd ive taken a quick look at the site and it looks cool (added to favorites) will be visting a fair bit i think.

Loffy thats a tricky question i think both have great plus’s from what i have seen and lots of cool toys on both side altho i cant fly anything very well theres plenty of other things to keep me busy.

I really like the idea of the team play and its really refreshing to have objectives in the game which seems like it will make play easyier and clearer.

I know theres been alot of talk in various communitiys about bf2142 vs ET:QW but i think they are totally different games and for my money this game will win hands down.

Yep, you have that right.

BF2142 is really just a ‘mod’ for BF2. There is no great need for teamwork, and overall I dislike the feel of it.

ET:QW has more of a ‘professional’ gamer feel. The fact that it has a more arcade style movement will attract Quake and UT players, couple that with the stront teamwork element, and we are looking at a game that has potential to become the benchmark for team competition. Much like Quake is the benchmark for 1V1 (skillz), I hope Quake Wars will be the benchmark for Clan V Clan. I’m looking forward to fighting through the entire campaign against an opposing clan. Should be lots of fun.

Yea, time to kick CS off the throne.

In my opinion a match of ET:QW (like a match of ET) will be far more fun to watch, as it offers greater variety than CS, which is boring me to death, to be frank… :moo:
However, CS as a huge fanbase, which doesn’t really consists of the kind of players ETQW aims for (thank god). So it will be hard, and unlikely, to outrival CS in the near future.

Personally, I’m hoping ETQW to become an evergreen (or ‘benchmark’ as mentioned above) with a solid community. It definitively has the potential. :drink:
