Hello
I keep getting kicked at start of a map by punkbuster because of “no packet flow”. Any way to fix this?

means you have lost connection to the server, you will have to re-join or get a better internet connection, i wouldnt know you dont tell us ur system specs

I see it happend all the time to people with older PC’s and i guess how long it takes them to load the map.

Do you also get ‘server is for low pings only’ on alot of servers?

What happens when you up the console and type /reconnect - do you get kicked on re-entering?

Well my system spec is:
1.5 ghz Pentium 4
64 mb Nvidia Card
40 GB Harddrive
256mb Sdram

and my internet line is 150k.

I do not think its anything with loading cos normally it loads just before the fight begins. Sumtimes I can even move for couple of secs at start and then get kikcked. i do not get kicked after reconnecting.

My mate has his problem on a Lappy with Similar specs - try doubling your RAM & defragging your HDD?

What are your ingame internet settings like?

/rate, /cl_maxpackets, /snaps /com_hunkmegs etc ?

How many custom pk3 files do you have in your /etmain directory? I understand there’s a limit before things go a little wierd.

Can you play on non-PB servers? Have you updated PB with pbweb?

Do you know if this problem occurs on all types of ET ie for etmain and et-pro etc? If you’re not sure, download a copy of ASE and filter the mod types. How are you launching ET? From something like ASE or from the ingame browser? (the browser probably isn’t the best thing to use as the ping times are often badly out)

Ive got 308 .pk3 files. Punkbuster is updated. And this only happens on ETPro 3.1.0

P.S. Can you also tell me wat does

do?

256Mb = com_hunkMegs 160, com_soundMegs 32 so you can change those I’d say but I don’t think it’s your problem…

308 .pk3 files is alot tbh - try moving all but the ‘essential’ customs you play on regularly out of the ET directory all together.

Are you sure your et-pro pak file is ok 'cause it sounds as if there’s something not right about your et-pro setup. For the original 3.1.0 get over to http://bani.anime.net/etpro/.

You might also like to check to see which other versions of et-pro are in that directory and make sure there’s nothing funny in there like a etpro-x-x-x.pk3.tmp file - maybe someone with more experience of ET-Pro can comment, but I’ve had problems with abortive et-pro downloads from game servers.

I have had alot of those as well. (aborted etpro d/loads)

Vaibhav, has this only started to happen recently or has it always been this way?

Try moving some of the pk3s in etmain to some other folder, see if it makes any difference?
