Help wanted for MOD/Various teams.

This thread should not be used as a team/campaign/map progress thing, but as an opportunity to recruit people to join your project. This thread is meant to be short and sweet and have a link to your team’s home page for further details. (26 page team intro’s will be deleted)

Please specify your team name, your website link and who and what you are looking for (Like skills: mapping, modelling, skinning, 2d texture etc)

We’re looking for a few dedicated people to help with a three map campaign, based on the Indiana Jones universe. While we have much of the first map finished, there is always more that could be done.

We’d like to begin work on our second map soon, as well as put the final touches on our first map. We’re looking for people who posses at least one the following skills:

-Art & Design (concept art, texture
-Level Design and Mapping (All flavors of Radiant, shaders, lighting, efficiency, etc)
-3-D Modeling (Max, maya, milkshape and skinning, etc)

  • Scripting (ET and RTCW scripting)

Ideally, the people will have been part of another project, and have experience in their area of work. For example, the Level Designer might have released a few RTCW maps, the modeler has had models used in a mod, etc.

I’ve heard that activision and SD will give the Mod-Source only away to Mod-teams witch can demonstrate that they will finish the mod and have a nice presentation for their mod-idea plus a good team that is known in the community and do good work.

Now with this thread was there a decision that everyone will get the code? I’m a little bit confused, please help me. :wink:

I’m interested in doing some sound for maps. Looking at getting onto a team with some mapping experience and who are able to see the map through to release.

I’d be interested in working on a team to make a large pack of WW2 prefabs and models for people to put in their maps, I think this could really speed up the mapping process for mappers.

(this will be asked by someone else, so i’ll ask it right now: who at activision could we talk to about code? do we need to make a rtcw mod first? does programming experience for other mods / programs help?)

Secret Operations Team

We are making campaigns based on historical accurate operations and battles.
We are currently 18 in the Team. We have lots of mappers, a few modelers and a Forum / FTP administrator and me, leader and 2D Artist/Texturer.

We are looking for more mappers, modelers to join us.
Our goal is to help each other, and work in team to make better maps with better textures, and models.

I have an idea to mix RTCW and a game called Homeworld together to make a great 1st person sci-fi thriller, but i can hardly script, nevermind make a game!

You see abouve, well im wondering if I could make this reallity. Wolfenstein - Alienated is a game i have thought about making for a long time, but now i have decided to try my best and have a go at making it, i will need help though so i have a few people in mind who i think chould help me!

Mappers - Mappers wil be making everything that the player will feel and touch, you know, and maby some scripting with the moders if thay are willing!

Moders - Modders will help with the script for it if we can get any, also if any splash damage people have any spare time and could lend a hand that would be cool too!

Artists - Textures and stuff, its all in the textures, also making the artwork that will be shown on the actual main menu and stuff!


Ok thats all that will be needed, this will be one M A S S I V E mapping project, here is everything else you will need to know

Story - There are an Alien race called Makwe (pronounced Mak-we). There planet has blown up because of a supernova, thay have placed all there recourses in one place until thay find another planet. Then the other race the Fubuka (pronouces Fo-bu-sha) take advantage of this and attack, the battle is bloody and there isnt mutch left, when you come back from a ship test you see the base were everything is is destroyed ther is one damaged ship wit someone on board, he tells you what happened and then the journey continues to find something that you must use to figh back and find your coloneys!

Profits - Depending on how good the end result is will depend weather we release it on CD or just make a free download, it will probably be a free download!

Plans - If i get enough support i will start making serious plans as to what will happen in the game, i have the main story layout but untili know that this tast will have anough support, i wont do very mutch!

Hey this is MAD DOG from Stealth soldier clan. I am making a mod with my friend Konigstiger( The man who made the Saving Private Ryan sound mod and others), and Y2k 1996(who made the Ultra Realism Sound Mod Deluxe). I wanted to make this mod really special I wanted Konigstiger and y2k 1996 to help me make the most realistic mod For ET! This mod includes all real sounds from the Actual Guns themselves and all the ambient sounds. Like the tug, tanks/trucks, grass, dirt, Etc. We also have realistic looking skins (the badges, icons, insigne on the uniforms are from actual photos of soldiers matching each rank aka soldier, covert ops Etc. Plus new graphics and textures For the mod. We really worked hard on making this mod for 3 or 4 months and are really close to getting it done. We just need to finish up the sounds to match ET’s requirements and Rate Of Fire.

OK we relay NEED someone who can change the Rate Of Fire for all the guns for me since I don’t know where to start in the first place. I have the info on all the guns and their rpm etc. I just need someone to change it for me. Then the mod will be done. We are expecting the mod to be more than 100 MB in size and we need people to Beta test it before the Final is out to the public. And I would like Splash Damage to be the Beta tester for this mod. :clap:

  • skiner for weapons,
  • modeler for weapons,
  • Animator for weapons.

Of course, it would be really great if you’ve already done weapon skin in RTCW or in a mod, or in another games.
But if you are new, but want to make your best and if you are motivated, you are welcome.
We need those people, to add new weapons in ET, that is a mod, at this time, we think about it, and as we dont want to be press by the time, we are looking now for.

I’d like to assemble a mod team to create a Pacific Theatre mod.
A Japanese vs Allies themed mod, titled “Rising Sun”

What I need
Sourcecode
Programmer to help decifer the code (I have experience with Visual Studio 6, though I’ll probably need some help)
Historical Researcher to provide images of uniforms and weapons of Japanese WW2 soldiers
Mapper to help build a campaign
Japanese Language Expert for voice commands
Voice Actor for Japanese voice commands

What I want to change:
Skins for Axis to Japanese (should be easy enough)
Campaign map from Europe to Pacific
Game faces for Axis to Japanese
Weapons models (I’m experienced with Nendo, Max, Maya, Milkshape)
6 map campaign (I have started work on 3 of them but 3 more would be ideal)
Voice Commands, German to Japanese

I think it will be refreshing change to the game. I could do this all myself but obviously it would be much easier & faster if a team could be assembled.

You will find maps @Drakir’s Map Lair (menu: maps).
I think he was mapping for the “pearl harbor”-RTCW-mod. And he shows some “never completed” maps. So may be you can ask him because of the maps.
