Help setting Up server with diff map rotation

I have made my mycampaign.campaign file and put it in a a .pk3 file with a path to scripts/mycampaign.campaign but i can not get it to show up as a campaign to select from when you go to set up a host.

any ideas on what I am missing here ??

I want a certian map rotation and i just can not get it to become valid so that people can auto download the .pk3 file and play my map rotation.

I know this is something easy but I seem to be missing something. :banghead: :banghead:

I have a server set up at rackspace and I have ET all set up on it but no mater what i put in the campaign.cfg the server always defaults to the default capaigns and no one wants to play 3 maps then reset XP – then 3 maps and so on. How do I get the server to start using the new maprotation I have created ??? :???:

Any help would be greatly apecieated

When you start the server, do you see that your pk3 file is parsed?

If so, maybe you have a problem in the mycampaign.campaign syntax, or possibly you have the path wrong inside the pk3 (something that hung me up).

Also make sure you’re doing a server restart after you upload the pk3 file to the server. Otherwise your pk3 doesn’t get parsed and the new campaigns won’t show up.

Secondly, make sure the pk3s are in your etmain directory(or whatever directory if you’re using a mod). They won’t be read if they’re in the ET root.

Thx for the help … I did not know that you had to restart the server. I stoped and started the server manytimes but i quess it has to write a list in some config file to notice there is a new pk3…

Also thx for the Linux setup… Funny that you are the one to respond to my post because I used your page as a guide to setting up my linux server remote and the chroot stuff. helped out a bunch… And here you are again with the help… What would us gamers do without True fans like yourself :smiley: Thx again
