Help running ET on second monitor in dual monitor setup

I have just reinstalled my beloved ET after about 2 years of being out of action but I have a problem now that I’m running dual monitors.

I can run ET perfectly on my main monitor, that’s not a problem. But I want to run on my second monitor. I can drag and drop the window over to the second monitor fine, but if I click on any buttons the window disappears, as if being minimised. I then have to click on the program icon in the task bar to maximise again.

It must be possible to play in the second monitor surely? Anyone help?

W:ET will only run on main monitor afaik, you can change which monitor is main on display control panel

Maybe if you set your two monitors resolution in ET conf and then start in windowed mode (Alt+Enter)?

I’m talking about windowed mode! :stuck_out_tongue: Changing the main monitor defeats the purpose really as I want my main, larger monitor to stay as the main.

Ok so I’m just writing this from my mind, nothing has been tested in any way:

  1. open modfolder(nq, for example)/autoexec.cfg
  2. seta r_mode “-1”
  3. seta r_customheight “1024”
  4. seta r_customwidth “2560”
  5. launch ET and press Alt+Enter

Does it work?

Edit: Also, you may need to install Ultramon or similar software.

@lamps: the config didn’t work, but didn’t bother downloading Ultramon or anything. Just decided to leave it as is.

But I have another problem now and it’s to do with PunkBuster. I can get one some servers but get kicked after a few minutes for unknow guid. (I think that was the message) And other other servers kick me staright away stating game integrity as the reason. This is a brand new install, with 2.60 and 2.60b patches. The only servers I’ve been on are FP and HBC, and have downloaded their obligatory crap, but that’s it.

Is there anything I can do to fix this or is PunkBuster just being a bit of a bitch?!
