I just downloaded wolfenstein and i cannot go online, when i click refresh for the server nothing pop up. I have 2.60 and i downloaded 2.60b but idk how to use the 2.60b i just get a winrar folder and i unzip it and then what do i do?? how do i play online?

Replace the old exe’s in your W:ET folder with the new ones.
Patch 2.60b does not install automatic, you have to replace both files.

what do you need the 2.60b patch for anyway?? it’s only a serverside upgrade??
and if you do not get online it’s probably your firewall stopping you.
go to control panel and firewall and open for ET. EXE

Ludwig Nussel and Thilo Shulz discovered a vulnerability letting a malicious client download files from a server if auto download is enabled ( sv_allowDownload 1 ).
Issue #2 ( CVE pending ): R_RemapShaders buffer overflow
A second issue fixed in this release would let a malicious server exploit a buffer overflow to execute a shellcode on connecting clients.
better use 2.60b also on the client …

ok…this ididn’t know…when i downloaded the 2.60b they said it was only a server side upgrade
