help installing the new 1.02 patch

well a fellow clan member of GAS is having a problem installing the new ET patch, here is wat he told to post for him, this is his problem

I have a problme with switching versions of ET.
I just downloaded the new version 1.02 and installed it in my folder (thinking it would automaticly update itself).

when I was done, I wanted to play and see the improvements, but then all of the sudden, I get this weird message about me or the server running an older version of ET.
after a lot of cursing I tried to get into an 1.01 version server which went fine, so I still have my old version in use.
so this is my question:" what should I do to to finally play the new version??"

The new patch isn’t compatible with the old version. If he’s installed the new patch properly he won’t be able to play on unpatched servers. If he hasn’t installed the new patch properly he won’t be able to play on patched servers.

If he wants to play on both he’ll need to install ET twice (using different folders obviously) and patch one of the installs but not the other. That’s what I do, I have the old version installed in c:\program files\et_1_00 and the new in c:\program files\et_1_02.

well, actually it does update automaticly!! try again!!!
