Help error code can't play! Game code ( ui_mp_x86.dll)

Hi,

I have ET on other pc but I just installed it on my laptop. When I go into a server, and it can be any server I get the following error and can not get in.

Game code ( ui_mp_x86.dll) failed pure servercheck

any idea what this is?

I am running vista basic on the laptop but I put it into the xp sp2 mode for ET

if http://www.splashdamage.com/forums/search.php doesn’t help

try http://www.google.com

it sounds like one of you pk3 files doesn’t add up well. assuming you’ve not hacked the game it might be an additional pk3 screwing things up.

try reinstalling the game - its not an OS issue.
