Heavy medic sniper

(Kinjal) #1

So

Body-type: heavyweight
Class: medic
Weapon: sniper rifle

Is it possible?

i hope not.
becuz its suited only for selfish campers, not teamplayers.

(LyndonL) #3

I believe it is achievable… Why would you wanna be a sniper medic though? So you can use the self revive perk?

(H0RSE) #4

I suppose it’s plausible, but as a Heavy, you wouldn’t be able to get to many (or any) vantage points to snipe.

(brbrbr) #5

i hope this build attract enough bullets and have enough [other]drawbacks[by game balance] to make its practically worthless even for campers.
to Win, each team [usually]should have [both]good sniper-scout AND good medic.
not crowd of all-in-one “scpecialist in nothing”.

(Kinjal) #6

No, I just wanna be an unstoppable killing machine. Long range, a lot of HP.

(brbrbr) #7

oh, thus havvyweight soldier with some perks will be better choice i guess.
yes, medic have more powerful hp-related perks, but other classes have enough too, until you play too jerky to notice difference.
one good medic in team and virtually anyone else - turned to “bad-ass killing machine” ©

(LyndonL) #8

So In that case go Engineer so that you can buff your weapon, or Soldier so you can give yourself more ammo. Medic is quite useless as a sniper.

Yes its possible, and you can have it as your secondary ‘clean up’ weapon.
I believe medics have access to speed perks called “fleet of foot” which would be definitely be useful for the heavy. You most likely give up the capacity to boost your own health though, but when you have the HP bonus already - its probably worth going for the speed buffs.

(brbrbr) #10

in that sense, any other class in Brink is “quite useless” without help of other classes.
and thats RIGHT way[to make game/build gameplay], IMO.

(Kinjal) #11

Nah, sniper usually don’t need a lot of ammo. Weapon buff is good but u can use it only 1 time, u cant stock buffs and it doesn’t give u a lot of survivability, as medic u can use all your medpacks on yourself, so its best suited for Rambo class + die hard heavy body-type.

(H0RSE) #12

There is health regen, and I don’t think I’ve actually seen a medic use a medpack yet, in any of the videos.

Even in the “training video,” when it mentions medic, it says “the Medic can buff the health of his teammates and dispense revive syringes to fallen comrades, letting them get right back to the action.”

It mentions nothing about medkits. I think the buff IS the medkit, and using it on yourself comes with a cooldown.

(Apples) #13

MMMM unstoppable!

@lyndon, we are talking bout good aimer there, if you can kill in 2 shots, get many HP and can hp up yourself, plus the long range, you can be basically unstoppable. good sniper medic indoor = OMGWTF!

(DarkangelUK) #14

I dont think the maps are big enough for that, or more so, there’s no line of sight long enough for that… lots of twists and corners.

(Achtung) #15

Theres no doubt some of these classes are going to be dangerous. Downside to the system imho.

But most likely this class will be somewhat waste to your team so you shoudnt see too many.

For those of you who havent played ET or QWET you find alot of teamplayers and its awesome. However sometimes you may want to level your Op but have to go Eng because no one else will.

That’s when you play bot matches offline.

(LyndonL) #17

Levelling up a a “multiplayer character” in “singleplayer” is a very very new concept, so a lot of people won’t work that one out.

I played both and still think that when you get the top 2 killers in your team you end up to win 90% of the time… (pub wise)

When all is clear its really easy to do the obj

(H0RSE) #19

lol, it’s not exactly rocket science…It’s not characters are kept in separate “single player” and “multiplayer” pools.

You choose your guy, and choose what you wanna play - the game will ask you if you wanna play offline or online, then you specify from there. I could see if the menu was tricky to navigate or if it never really specified that you can do either or, but it’s going to give you the choice every time you play.

This is assuming that the rest of your team doesn’t have that “someone else will do it” mentality, and actually gives a damn about the objectives, and aren’t busy killing as well…
