Would like to see a faster movement for all three bodytypes and some modifications to smart and jumping height in the upcoming patch.
Heads up: Next update for Brink
Not really, Brink is Brink and not UT imo. But looking forward to the upcoming patch!
I agree. Slightly faster movement speed and higher jumping for all bodytypes would make SMART feel more fluid.
Lift jumps please!
Hm, I think it would kill any feel of “Brink-Realism” (for me Brink is a pseudo-realistic game, not Operation Flashpoint but also not UT/Quake). Just my opinion. Perhaps minor changes, but please do not change the entire gameplay.
Btw, anybody believes if the internal 30 FPS-limit of the game client (when hosting/playing offline) will be improved/changed with the patch?
And, will the dedicated server also get a patch to work with the changes from the client patch? Just think loud…

Yep, I am not talking about the fast movement speed like you have it in Quake including strafe jumping, but nuances of faster movement speed and higher jumping would make Brink feel better imho.
I just don’t think that SD worked on that for the upcoming patch but the hope dies last…
I just derp around when I’m not actually doing a smart movement, and that kills the whole feel. There is a big contrast between the fluidity of the parkour movements and just regular clunky movement in the game.
but Brink also advertised “parkour” which it barely has… Medium and Heavy bodytypes definitely need a little movement bump, not all bigger or fat guys are slow and weak (cant pull themselves up a ledge) even in real life. Use American football for example: offensive and defensive line players are like 275 lbs and up, can move fast and probably do a pull up (ledge climb).
I suppose the maps werent really designed for much parkour either though…
HAHA yes this is indeed good news!
I hope this won’t be the last as well, SD keep it up :)
Haha. Rotsa ruck with that.
Some people seem compelled to drop a steaming poo on the enjoyment that others get from this game…
I can understand not liking the game, but I don’t see how people that like it puts anyone out.
I just don’t see it getting another developer update. That has nothing to do with anyone else’s enjoyment.
That wasn’t directed at you. It’s more the people who are saying that “the game is dead/sucks, why bother?”
Because those of us that enjoy it appreciate tweaking if it improves the experience. It’s not like SD is gonna pick the money tree and just up and decide to make another ET if they stop supporting Brink.
Too little too late, even if the update on the PC makes the game some what playable. The competitive side is dead and was for sometime, would love to see the player figures for the game since BF3 came out.
^^
I can tell u that there is only like 2 games going on at a time here on ps3…
1 is decentle full ( 8 ppl / 19 ppl if were lucky ) & 1 has aroung 1-3 ppl

Hmm, probably until the update is also through the PS3 and Xbox QA 1-2 weeks from badman’s announcement on, I guess…
So we will see it >soon<
Oh no doubt, it’ll be the best thing ever and the only explanation that noone else is playing it is that they’re too bad to fully grasp the potential and even reach the first step on the stairway to the skillceiling.
