He had an option to
- not to cheat
- try it with bots, offline.

Urm, I work with the Punk Buster People and I have your friends address. So if he even trys to buy ET:QW, I will visit him at his home and crush his fingers in a nut cracker and if he complains, he’ll have no nuts either.

If he’s hardware banned via Punk Buster then his only option is to buy a new pc as the ban is tied to his pc’s components and applies to all online Punk Buster games.
SD can’t do anything even if they wanted to as PB is controlled by Evenbalance and there’s no second chances for those who are guilty.

I would have to say I’m against it too. It wouldn’t be fair to purchase a new game and still be banned by punkbuster because they have your hardware ID.
Like what if he sold his machine to somebody else and they bought ET-QW, they wouldn’t beable to play it? Totally unfair…

perhaps its a little unfair that he will not be able to play a game that he has paid for however isnt it more unfair the fun seeking non cheaters should have there game ruined by cheaters and have them waste there money on buying a game thats no fun to play because of some bad sports

It’s the cheaters fault if he can’t play because of a hardware ban, it’s the cheaters fault if he sells that hardware to someone without telling the buyer about that hardware ban. Don’t blame punkbuster, it’s not their fault he’s a cheating fuck.

What hardware does PB look for? Isn’t it only the MAC address of your network card?
If so, just put in a new $20 network card and you are good to go.

Useless discussion…cheaters suck and should bleed for cheating…sometimes a good guy is busted for nothing but most of the time it is a bad guy we do not want to see anymore, in any game EVER.
