Having Problems Loading Map

I need some help here and if anybody could help I would be gratefull. I load ET like usual and then i go to click on a server and it sais awaiting gamestate then goes to load map and it does. Then it go’s back to the main menu and shows a message “cannot write to hunkusage.dat”. Could some one help me.

some custom maps require a higher hunkmeg setting, use
com_hunkMegs “92”
that should cover all maps

Which OS?

Did you try deleting hunkusasge.dat? Also try removing some of the custom maps (pk3 files) from etmain.

Q. I get this error: “cannot write to hunkusage”
A. Find every hunkusage.dat file in your ET directory (there may be more than one) and delete it. if you can’t delete it, reboot your computer in safe mode, delete it and then reboot in normal mode. This should fix the problem.

Ok I changed the com_hunkMegs to “92”, . But after I did that it showed another error. Couldn’t write profiles/BaRoN/etconfig.cfg . I just dont know what to do with this

Sounds like someone doesn’t keep his ETMAIN tidy ! I think the average server forces 4 downloads. If you visit 10 servers in a week…then u have 40 .pk3’s or MORE !!!

Not to mention…some of the people have no clue on what they’re doing with making small .pk3 mods, so that tends to screw your game up as well. Best bet >>>>…keep it tidy.

HeHeHe Asshole. lol but would this also have something to do with administrator rights. Because im trying to play on a limited account on XP. It doesnt work on mine but it works on the administrators.
