Have a look please - brink forum

(Vaporman) #21

I’m with you there. I lost count of how many times, during the early stages, that my forum went down because I created some syntax error by messing with the code myself.

(xTriXxy) #22

hahaha  i still dont know how to backup it omg

(Apples) #23

And here we go again with the propaganda

really nice forum, nice graphics!
i didnt set up our brink forum to vbulletin, because its too expensive for non-profit websites.
whats about the licence to use tapirs and so on from splashdamage?

ps.check PM

All this stuff between xenForo and vb, driving crazy (Check out the licensed vb section Elit3s.com  and you’ll know what I mean)… vB is just good.

I’ve got a lot of respect for the time you’ve invested in the skins, it’s really looking good! Little details: upload some edited favicon.ico

thank you! without support forums its impossible to manage vbuletin, at least for me without any experience with this stuff.

i just set up facebook login! and its perfect! no registration procedures at all. one click and you are in:) registered.

i made registration as simple as possible, i hate captcha and all that confirmation codes…

login with facebook: i love it:)

ps. favicons are there. ohh, they are post icons…

(Nail) #31

i hate captcha and all that confirmation codes…

good luck with that

(xTriXxy) #32

vbulletin is very hard for spam bots to get in.

(Nail) #33

Splash Damage uses vB and yet they also use , iirc, double captcha
and bots get in

(xTriXxy) #34

but… there are no bots with facebook accounts;)

ps.
site is so slow, and i have connection issues. godaddy never again!!

(Nail) #35

it’s your site, up to you

(Paul) #36

I’m supporting Nail’s advice, it’s not smart to be left without any capchta: I’m using google’s famous recapctha. Never got 1 single complaint about it: before I used the standard captcha and got tons of bots

(xTriXxy) #37

i will move site to another server today… just installing it.

(xTriXxy) #38

im mayby blind or i dont know but i had always problems with recaptcha. after 2 attemt i will refuse to join or login or signup to any site.

for facebook login there is no registration at all. no name, email ,… nothing.
for others, there is only 1 confirmation question about fruit color:)

its simple as simplest it cannot be, and i like it. if spam bots will discover how to login, i will change question.

(Mustang) #39

Invisinput is another option in addition to Captcha.

(xTriXxy) #40

 i will prefer simple login. yesterday i had 15 bot attempts to register, but they were unable to register:) it can work without captcha or any other security option.
