what if u dont know any programming…if we knew it than we would be making our own hacks not asking u for it

Just read this in one of the many “make your own hack” forums.

This is sad. I could find an explanation in trying to beat PB instead of trying to play better, as a way of enjoyment, but just watching some programmer’s work helping you beat some player’s skills is plain idiot. Why don’t they just watch wallpaper dry and stop bothering the rest?

I really hope to be playing games with known people who really enjoy the game in private servers before ET fills with hacks. I must get better, fast.
I don’t really think that PB’s method will ever stop hacking. As long as you aim with a mouse what you see on a screen, you can make a program who does it better. FPSs are not the kind of game a computer cannot solve.

P.S.: Even if I could find interesting to compare programming skills with PB, I’d not do it in a web multiplayer game. Just because I don’t enjoy annoying other people for no reason. I don’t really mind If you don’t understand this reason, or just don’t beleive me.

He can understand a programmer hacking a game as an exercise of their abilities. He considers using the hack bad, and distributing it to punks even worse. He says he would never hack a MP FPS because it is unfair to the other players.

I think It’s a good time to quote myself and explain what I was trying to transmit to you.

I had just read the text above in a forum. I felt sad to realize once again that I live in a world full of stupid shit. They could at least hide to make the rest of us happier.

Here I expressed my incomprehension about the act of using hacks made by others, as the only reason I can immagine to use a hack is to try one you’ve done yourself.

The only thing I could think to feel a little better is that it’s unlikely that those retarded will make the game less enjoyable for me. The best I play, the best team games I’ll be able to enter, and there there are no hacknoobs (I hope).

Here I just expressed one of the many reasons the PB method will not stop hacking. It’s just the wrong idea. Most people already know how to bypass it and it’s easy.

This last paragraph was just wrote because of the "Hacker! Hacker!" ambient there's been lately in that forums. Simplified to match my writing habilities would be: "I don't hack" "If you don't beleive me, phuck you, I will not discuss it".

I hope this made it easier to understand. It’s not very interesting, I was just angry after seeing there were large communities of this shitheads.

I wouldn’t be too pessimistic about PB not being able to stop all current / future hacks cause they have done a very good job already in rtcw and q3 I think so why wouldn’t they keep ET clean? Yes there are hacks and always will be but they usually don’t last long against PB.

i have not seen 1 cheat where i was 100 percent sure in ET. Just some where i had my doubts. And when they released PB for rocket arena 3 it was end of all cheaters i’ve ever seen. No more rail cheaters bye bye

People use modified OGC 2.4s in RA3 right now.

oz.travis, nailbunny, [g0d]Bone, nite baronX, rem, dragon, finalday, to name a few were just caught recently cheating.

Isn’t modifying a game to do something like cheat illegal? Doesn’t that violate something in the EULA? I think when a big hack comes along like OGC, the publishers of the game should go after that person to set an example.

They should go after the ISP’s of these websites that host the cheats too.

Nope. Modifying programs on your own hard drive is perfectly fine.

Connecting to a server with them might not be OK, if it violates some other agreement you’ve made with the server-op.

a lot of cheats dont modify the actual game, they just edit what goes to a from opengl and sends keypresses to the keyboard or mouse or stops opengl drawing certain things or adding stuff, only stuff like nocd cracks (and cvar cracks) edit the actual program

You seem to think PB is a static thing. It’s not. It gets updated. It’s not the same thing that was in CS.
