Hackers...

(Sspo) #1

I’m not sure if its bad luck, or the fact that the game is filled with hackers. Every game I enter i encounter a hacker. This ruins the game for me and my team. Most of the hackers choose the sniper class, they always get head shots and around 10,000 points. Let me know if you guys are coming across hackers as well.

(Ribero) #2

Yeah, I see them here and there.

(Zenity) #3

You can’t tell a hacker by how well they land their headshots or how many points they get…

So far I’ve encountered only one obvious cheater, and I’ve played a good bit. Every cheater is one too many, but it’s really not all that bad.

I agree with you on the HS thing, usually you can see if some one is hitting nothing but HS’s then something is up, how ever I disagree on the points. There are quite a few players that I know of that when I play with will not drop anything lower then 10k, and its really just because they are consistently good.

I think you either meant to quote somebody else, or inverted the meaning of my post?

some people have been playing shooters for around 20years and there are some REALLY good sniper players. If he hits headshots only it’s because he is aiming at the head?
I’ve not yet seen any obvious cheater in 150hours.
And don’t forget they have a heartbeat/wallhack sensor

(Amerika) #7

I’ve got about 80 hours in and I’ve only seen two aimbot users. One was flagrant and bragging about it and the other was trying to hide it and only had an aimbot on his secondary weapon but looked like he’d only randomly use a triggerbot on the primary from time to time.

There are a lot of good players out there and there are a lot of less than good players who believe the good players are hackers. Recording software is free. Record their play, make a PRIVATE video on YT where only the person with the link can view, and send it off to Nexon support if you believe somebody is cheating. Do not create a forum thread/spread the name. I have no clue if support will ban with that method but I believe it’s the only thing that we can do.

It’s sometimes hard to discern luck or good skills from aimbots. In doubt, switch to spectator and check that guy’s screen.

(god1) #9

Hackers and reporting them is yet another issue that would be alleviated with demo recordings and since you can change your in-game name freely the game needs to be somehow linked to your Steam account, like through the Steam players function or the playerlist command of UE3.

I have been called a haxer everyday for quite a few weeks. I also play sniper and get way way more then 10K points a round. I even break 100 kills on stopwatch maps very consistently and have broke 40k points once! Some people are just good. The people we have to worry about that the people that are haxing and trying to hide it!

(Lunar) #11

I agree 100%, I could careless if your blatant, its just those who are going to try and say they are on the same level as actual good players that will be the piss off.

(INF3RN0) #12

I try to stick to high level MM or Pugs if I can help it. I never play fragger on pub anymore either, unless there’s some good players using it or my team is really struggling. Once the game hits OBT there should be less farming and likely legitimate hackers. Hopefully anti-cheat improves by then.

(Pogo) #13

I haven’t found a single blatant cheater so far. I’ve seen a lot of players with insanely good aim and game sense though

(GregHouseMD) #14

I had two last night - at least suspected. One guy was accused of cheating, and suddenly performed a lot more poorly. When I tried spectating him, he was jumping around in circles and wobbling his camera like he was trying to annoy the guy spectating him.

I had one last night who, if he was cheating, was hiding it well. I did see him track players through walls, though. Without a Vassili on the team ( I checked to make sure ).

I’ve also had a blatant cheater on my team once. Didn’t even bother trying to hide it.

So, in ~80 hours played, I’ve encountered three. Which is bad. But not bad like That Other Game.

Was that the one who played arty then aura and later when i said he is hacker “he was jumping around in circles and wobbling his camera” i was specting him, Also i stayed in spectate the other game too but he was afk and later he left. I really hate that we can’t name the hackers so others can know when they see them -.- Anticheat ASAP !

(sparseHawk) #16

Yeah like spook says the people we need to worry about are the ones trying to hide it. I decided to spectate a lvl 15 guy and could see he was wallhacking, so i come out of game to figure out how to use shadowplay recording goes back in to spectate him again but by this time he realises i’m spectating and his game is completely different he’s actually checking corners instead of instantly knowing where people are.

Think it would be good if they allow us to spectate with out taking up slots, and maybe even make it so people are unaware that there are spectators.

(Amerika) #17

Are you sure the guy didn’t have a Vasilli on his team? I come around corners pre-firing all the time due to the heartbeat sensor or if I happen to see somebody cross and go to an obvious camp spot.

I believe it was!

I couldn’t really tell if he was or not, but it does raise some red flags when someone does something like that. I mean, a lot of people get accused of cheating without cheating, but why then deliberately try to annoy anyone who might be spectating you?

Obvious cheaters don’t really bother me that much. It’s the idea that there could be cheaters on every server who just hide it well that bothers me. Man, just talking about cheaters makes me angry.

(sparseHawk) #19

Didn’t properly take into account if there was a sensor around, but it was constant awareness to the point it was blatant to me, i won’t say what he was doing that made it obvious, but you could probably guess.

(Pogo) #20

If someone has a Vasilli on their team, wouldn’t spectators be able to see the red outline from heartbeat sensors?
