Here was my weaponbank script for ET
bind 1 “weaponbank 1; bind mouse1 +attack; cg_drawgun 1”
bind 2 “weaponbank 2; bind mouse1 +attack; cg_drawgun 1”
bind 3 “weaponbank 3; bind mouse1 +attack; cg_drawgun 0”
bind 4 “weaponbank 4; bind mouse1 +attack; cg_drawgun 1”
bind 5 “weaponbank 5; bind mouse1 +attack; cg_drawgun 1”
bind 6 “weaponbank 6; bind mouse1 +attack; cg_drawgun 1”
bind 7 “weaponbank 7; bind mouse1 +attack; cg_drawgun 1”
Only my smg was turned off since i didnt really feel like i needed gun was helpful for my aim, with the luger it was another story since it wasnt a semi-constant flow of bullets but had a delay between them, i found it easier to aim with the model on for the pistol cause i could sort of align it with the enemy model and gave me a better sense of how much i needed to move with my mouse to get it on the player. Could be a placebo, who knows. In the end it was purely a personal choise.
It has positives and negatives but in at least in ET it didnt really block the whole screen and was more or less realistic with the hipfire way of shooting, which made it more balanced since it wasnt blocking most of your view with the gun model. I guess in DB it does make sense the advantage is bigger because it blocks a lot of the screen which you can see without the model. Or this movie was made with 80 fov but as i said before, you dont want to play like that in a fast paced FPS cause you will get motion sickness
Also the point that you can see which weapon your holding is kinda for the public only players cause you should know this without even seeing it imo. Playing quake since forever now without gun models and its perfectly fine for me. Dont mean to insult you guys tho :P<3
What competitive clans did you play for kendle? I did play ET a lot and followed the scene but i do not recognize your name :x
