Grenade Shooting

With one ability you made the game more spammy than TF2. Just not fun at all playing when everyone is just grenade shooting everything, and when grenades are unlimited but on a cooldown it doesn’t make it all a whole lot better either. Meh…

Or cooking the grenade manually for 2 seconds.
I don’t think the number of grenades is spammy personally.

Grenade shooting is a joke atm. Shooting the nade is WAY too easy. The nade hitbox must be MASSIVE. It’s next to impossible to miss.
In Brink it is literally impossible to consistently hit the head of they enemy but somehow I can shoot a 4 inch diameter grenade out of the air EVERY SINGLE TIME without even aim at it.?.? It makes no sense and doesn’t fit at all with the lotto/spread.

With the nade cool down, you can shoot at least one grenade every spawn wave. It makes it way too spammy. I can’t express how terribly annoying it is when players go entire rounds with %90 of their kills grenade shooting kills. It feels like an exploit.

And on top of all this, now NO ONE cooks and throws nades. EVERY SINGLE nade is shot. All the fun and skill involved in cooking a nade and timing your throw is completely gone. It is literally a waist of a nade in every situation if you throw it and don’t shoot it.

Learn to get your shock combo on. Also it’s not spam when you always hit somebody with it.

They could make the hitbox smaller I"m fine with that long as the first bullet goes where it should. It was fine in unreal and it’s fine here imo.

For one I would be using a inferior weapon and body type, and Grenade Launcher does not make up for that alone.
You also maintain your aim while Grenade Shooting unlike Grenade Launcher which requires you to aim towards the ground / or above on distance.

He said “underslung grenade” not “grenade launcher”.
You misunderstood.

No he didnt. Its exactly what ZernoK said though he used a wrong term there. He meant the underslung and not the Lobster.

He understood perfectly well, a gun with a grenade launcher attactment is still a grenade launcher even if it is just an attatchment.

I offer you an invite, to play a match with me and some clan mates, on evenly balanced teams, just to show you what we mean. It seems like devs dont understand the issue. Grenade shooting is the most needed change in the game at the moment in my opinion. I promise you, i can prove this to you in one game. Its ruining comp matches imo, as comp players are always the first to exploit unbalanced features, but pub players are catching on, and soon brink will change from a fps to a fpgs (first person grenade shooter)

Yep, got nade spammed yesterday… Christ, 3 soldiers (in 5v5!) for defending reactor… Flashes and heavy nades to the max. I want the oppressor shield back!

The assault rifles are inferior and so is the medium. Whats so hard to get there?

(Though the Euston is getting more and more points for me…)

Except he’s talking about body types and inferior weapons.
Any body type can get an underslung grenade. And the weapons it attaches to are not inferior.

That line makes me think he’s talking about the lobster which is different.

sorry… i deleted that post to redefine it below.

Any body type can use the underslung grenade launcher iirc.
Also: who says any body type is inferior. Also: AR are inferior? Really? Maybe for your playstyle but they are far from inferior.

Wasn’t there already an Australian cup or something were the finals where “ruined” by grenade shooting?
I didn’t get the details but I remember hearing/reading something about how some cup would have been great if there was no grenade shooting… Maybe someone can elaborate on why it ruined that cup in particular.

Anyway, the USGL is not useable by lights since it cant be used with SMGs.

You are right. I though they could stick it to the rifles they have access to.
So light types can’t use it. I assume then that the only “acceptable” body type is light? I disagree but whatever. I’ll keep out of this thread.

Agree to this, I think the key is weapon control; controlled burst, crouch, aim down the sights and all.

As for the issue, I think grenade shooting is fine, and with the underlsung grenade launcher, it gives the player the choice not be pressured in getting the grenade shooting ability to be effective.

Though yeah, I think taking up the grenade cooldown time a couple more notch could remedy this.
