Many advantages, such as donation links, easy mod install, auto restart if server crashes, daily scheduled restarts, and redirects that sync automatically. You will pay a bit more than at some noob host, but from my experience it is worth it. I recently witnessed a friend who owns another clan switch to a small start-up at half price! His connection was always going down and then one day he got an email saying they stopped business lol.

3+ years here and not one single problem at gameservers :slight_smile:

can only agree on GS, great support and easy to deal with… been there for 6 years now…

Umm actually GS is probably one of the worst out there. I used to be a customer, but not any longer. Customer service is horrible and their server boxes are way overloaded. I would avoid them like the plague.

The best out there, by far, is Nuclear Fallout. However, they are a bit pricier then others, because they do not over load their boxes, their customer service is top notch, and the hardware for their boxes is of higher quality then all the competition. You get a 2 day free trial if you like, and free web space for a website. I actually have a dedicated box with them, so I can have my own servers as I see fit, Check them out. They even have a guarantee to have the highest performance.

The fastest machines. All our machines are company-owned, and our fastest ones have:
Dual Intel Xeon X5690 (six-core Nehalem/i7) processors (twelve cores total)
96 GB of the fastest available RAM
Four Intel SSDs in RAID-5

The competition doesnt even come close, especially GameServers!

One of my friend was using NFO and their support team kept blaming on DDoS attacks or mod issues while issue was with their hard drive on server… Not saying they are bad but that was real time experience from my friend.

As far as network goes, gs.com has good peering all over the world. More or less all those server specs tells nothing. I checked and they have few things on their order page:

Higher CPU priority - I mean seriously if machines are not overloaded then why in the world I need more higher cpu priority?

I am pretty amazed they are saying about 96GB RAM machine but what about network card? can it handle 5,000-12,000 players network traffic?

I just found out today, that gameservers.com patched getstatus exploit on all their quake-based servers.
how did I miss the memo on that?

Some seems to enjoy GS… But a friend have also experienced problems in “GS Paris”…
US Prices are Generally expensive if only GS… Compared to Europe (because more competitors hosting in Europe : more choices better prices ; highest quality & Services)

Be sure that paying more is not a proof of Quality & Good Service !
