yeah i hate it too. the auto reload has gotten me killed a couple times. I could have easily just switched to my garand and finished off the guy, but stupid auto reload!

There is a bug that forces akimbo pistols to reload, no matter what the setting for no reloading is.

It works both ways with the akimbo reload-people moan that they have died because of it,but it evens its self out,how many times do you get a kill when the enemy is using them and forced to reload.
Best thing is try and get used to how many u can fire off before the reload kicks in then just before that happens switch,sux to have to do this but it can be nearly as good.

I understand that it might not affect people very often, but I think that they could have cleared this up when with the freaking patch…
Plus, I use the pistols a lot…

The real question is why use Akimbo’s?
Thompson and Mp40 are a lot better, imho.

Two reaons:
-
Ran out of SMG ammo so akimbo pistols are a good replacement.
-
If I’m in a one on one with someone and see it coming, I can kill someone with akimbo pistols in half the time of the SMG. It’s only when facing multiple opponents that the pistols are a bad idea.

k, but i was talking 'bout ppl who forget that Thompson/mp40 are their main weapon, and keeps on fighting with akimbo even when there’s no real reason on using them. :banghead:

Yeah and I told you why some people do that. If you tap the mouse button quickly you can get a highher fire rate than you can with the SMGs. Not so easy to aim when doing that, but with a little practice, akimbo pistols are lethal weapons. Superior to the SMGs except for the limited ammo.
Sure there are some weirdos that will take akimbos into a fight against 10 people, but why complain? If they’re stupid enough to do that then they are easy pickings. If they are on your team then hey, at least they’re fighting and not XP whoring in your spawn area.
