Gifting

I apologize ahead of time if this isn’t the correct forum, but as Publishers of Free to Play games, I was wondering what your position on ‘Gifting’ is. So for example if RAD Soldiers has any concept of points that people can purchase and then use to unlock character skins etc, I wanted to know if it will be possible to purchase a pack for a friend.

I bring this up mainly because of League of Legends, where (as far as I can tell) there is no gifting available, which I think is an area they are losing a huge amount of potential revenue.

For example, a lot of my friends are really into it (me, not as much) so when they have birthdays or whatever, instead of buying them some booze I give them some RP (Riot Points). The only problem right now is that I need them to give me their passwords so I can log into their account, use my credit card to purchase the points and then remove my card from their account.

I can imagine there is a lot of concern around fraud and how to prevent it etc… but I think it’s an absolutely necessary system to have and really hope you guys can pull it off.

Seriously… I’m not joking… this literally was just posted the other day on the LoL site…

"'Tis the Season for Gifting

This holiday season we’re adding a much-requested feature to the League of Legends Store for a limited time. It’s a time for sharing, so from the day of the next patch until December 26th, you can visit the Gifting Center to purchase champions, skins, and RP as gifts for the players on your friends list. Surprise your favorite summoner this Snowdown with a thoughtful gift.

Stay tuned for more details on Snowdown gift-giving as the holiday draws closer."

Clearly somebody is stalking me.
