Setting up PV ProMod server but can’t find the Steedium Mines map pk4 from Nirvana. Does it have a different name than Steedium?

Brilliant idea! Here have a cold cookie!
Could be even something like like:
1st team 240$
2nd team packs
3rd team 40$ (so they get money for beer or vodka)
ofc it’s up to admin
PS: Gvardman try “Edit post” next time :P
About Prices:
I would also give the third place a small money price. like graver said 40$ would be enough and its still a motivation to reach this place. I think that would be important because for 1st and 2nd place are only a few teams that are relevant but the third place can be achieved by almost every team that signed up.
The rest of the money and the elite packs should be distributed like it was planed from the beginning.
I agree, with Graver and Kordin. I like this prize money distribution more than what rubben suggested. First place should be able to choose first and after that the second team chooses. Third one gets what’s left.
IMPORTANT STUFF
So um… guys… We just got another another donation Thank you to the lovely alphabeta for his donation!
We are now up to 350 dolla dolla bills ya’ll! O.o
So if anyone hasn’t been keeping track. Assuming an average team of 5 people, the prize pool is equal to 650 dollars! (DB comparative price + cash prizes)
So with that. We will be splitting the cash prizes up. We never originally expected to have such a large prize pool which is why there was never a 3rd place prize package. But now that things have changed… We will be splitting the prize pool into 3 packages.
- 70% of cash prize = *245 dollars (Average team of 5 = 49 dollars per person)
- 30% of cash prize = *105 dollars (Average team of 5 = 21 dollars per person)
- Dirty Bomb Elite passes for the entire team (Website cost of 60 dollars)
(https://secure.warchest.com/dirtybomb/ <— thought I’d help plug the website since they were nice enough to donate them to us :p).
Subject to change with more donations. hint hint.
As was in the original rules, the prize packages are chosen in order by the first, second, and third place teams. This means, the team that wins first place is fully free to choose the 105 dollar package if they wanted… wouldn’t be my choice… but power to the people, right?
On a side note, ya’ll need to tone done your enthusiasm a little bit. You keep on crashing the tourney.cc website… sigh.
Right now I have 4 people that are interested in ShoutCasting. I can share with you the password to the official shoutcasting site so that we can all stream from the same location. PM if you’re interested and if you need help setting the stream up. Let me know if you aren’t on this list and want to be, or if you are on this list and don’t want to be:

Also. Just as a heads-up to everyone in the tournament. With a double elimination tournament and only one round per week, with the current number of team’s we have at this exact moment, the tournament will take 8 weeks. Please keep that in mind.
Will the games be fixed schedule or do the two teams have to organize their own best times to play the match?
I think every team should have 1 week to play all current round matches ( teams arrange the matches themself, it just must be played before the dead line )
The system is pretty much clear, seems like you aren’t familiar with double elimination yet?
So let me explain, the the winner of the winner bracket and the winner of the loser bracket play the final. The one who loses the final places second obviously.
If both teams can’t agree on a date, the date will be fixed.
One question about double elimination. In the final match (winner of the winner bracket vs. winner of the loser bracket) will the match start with 2:0 for the winner bracket winner? Because thats how i know double elimintation.
Sorry if thats already explained somewhere in the rules. Maybe i havent seen it…
Ermm i am not sure if that makes sense. Thats not how double elimination normally works i think.
The match is a normal BO3. The winner bracket winner will start this BO3 already with a score of 2:0. That means the Winner bracket winner has to win one more map/ or play a draw to win the cup while the loser bracket winner has to win 2 maps in a row.
But well, the system with the two BO3 will maybe take a bit long and could be more fun for the viewers…
That again makes no sense, because in a BO3 the team that has 2 wins has won… so what you described would be an instant win by starting a BO3 with 2 wins on one of the teams.
It´s possible tho to do a best of 5 (or best of 3), with an 2:0 (1:0) advantage for the winner, but I don´t think that this is fair, because winning 3 (2 wouldn´t be too bad i think…) games in a row is too hard.
I reasearched it a little, and the site that knows everything called wikipedia, also supports what Nemesis1415 said there.
lol…sverige and other booked cheaters has signed up 4 the tournament…
is that serious?

I hope not.
Yeah, as Nem explained, double elimination means a team must lose twice to be out of the tournament. Let’s do an example, Team A vs Team B. Team A is at the end of the winners bracket (0 losses), Team B is at the end of the losers bracket (1 loss). They meet each other in the final. If Team A wins, then Team B has lost twice, they are 2nd place in the tournamemt. Now suppose Team B won the matchup; that means Team A and Team B both have only lost once each, but neither are out of the tournament yet, so they play each other AGAIN to determine who the overall champion is. If you click on the link to an example double elimination bracket in the official rules (or Page 1 of this thread), it shows the additional matchup that occurs if it’s the team at the end of the winners bracket’s first loss in the final.

Maybe u havent played alot of cups in QW and thats the reason why u dont know it exactly but a 2:0 means you have won one map. if u have one 2 maps its 4:0. A draw between teams means 1:1. So what i describe is ONE map win and not two…
I would like to suggest an easy understandable form now. Instead of playing 2x BO3, it should be a one BO5 played where the team from the winner bracket already has a 2:0 (1 map won). So the winner has to win 2 maps for the overall win and the loser has to win 3 maps. Quite simple. (It’s played like this in SC2 in the ESL, for example)
