Getting kicked for "security violation" in every match after todays update

(pr0nflakes) #1

Hi,

after todays update (Bug Fixing Update - April 2016) I keep getting kicked for security violation in every match. I’ve tried stopping any programms I have usually runnning in background like e.g. my cyborg r.a.t.7 mouse app, kicks still remain.

The only “suspect” program I have runnning is the AMD Radeon 16.4.1 Beta (maybe causing?) driver, no progs like Sandboxie or similar installed here.

Any help is appreciated, feel free to ask if you need further informations.

Remote controlling Spotify?
Youtube playlist?

If you’re unsure, you can run “tasklist” in a command console and post back the results. It’s a list of all running processes, I can dig through it and see what may be the offender.

I am having the exact same problem specifically after todays update, I will do what you suggested OP to do Matuno, hopefully you can help too.

yeah…same here :frowning: i can’t finish a single match without getting kicked out of the game for security reasons

(pluckyElk) #5

I’m also having this issue. It has happened in the past a few times but this is kicking me every game after about 7-10mins of play.

You could just right-click the window > select all, then right click the highlit stuff to copy it to clipboard, then paste here;)

You have several processes that are not necessary and may interfere with the game. Most of it is guesswork based on a bit of Googling to see what the program does, and how that can interfere with NGS anticheat.

I’d suggest opening your process manager by pressing ctrl-shift-esc. On Winodws 8/10, click the details tab.

Right-click and ‘End Task’ for the following items:
KillerService.exe
HookManager.exe - Associated with software for your monitor, but the name ‘Hook’ is a cheating ‘thing’ too. Best to rule this out.

See if the game still kicks you out when those processes are not running, let me know how it worked out.

@PoliceOfficer15 @pluckyElk @Sai - follow the instructions I posted before if you want me to go through your running processes, see which may be the offender.

@FromTheInternets check this thread, it’s related to your problem, right?

@NxA_Noxie , any idea where this new wave of kicks is coming from? Perhaps you’re in the know?

Same here.
Played before the patch, no issues.
After the patch - being kicked constantly.

(pr0nflakes) #9

After I opened the topic here yesterday I did another reboot and had no kicks anymore, played three full maps. Today the same, no kick in the one match I played until now. Same config and and programs running as before patch.

For me this issue seems so be solved.

I have not fully tested this yet but I can say with pretty good confidence that these two are not the culprits (proxy is :P).

This is because me and my sister take turns on the computer and it is her turn today, I decided to sneak in a quick game while she was on a dog walk on her steam account and windows user and lo and behold, no kicks. OP further down said a restart fixed it so as far as im aware the issue is fixed and I dont need anymore help but I can say that the two programs most likely to be flagged are not the culprits.

I will keep you posted if a simple restart really did fix the problem.

Hey, same problem.
I’ve never been kicked for anything, and now every time I try to join a game, it kicks me shortly after. The quickjoin function also seems to get me stuck on an endless loading loop occasionally now, but that might be unrelated.
I’ve tried rebooting several times, as well as verified the game cache (which didn’t show anything).
Here are my active processes:

@STARRYSOCK That list looks pretty clean to me.
Try verifying the game files through Steam (rightclick Dirty Bomb > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity…
and rebooting. Some people report that to work.

(Press E) #13

@Matuno I have already. Unfortunately it didn’t detect anything out of place.
Is it worth completely reinstalling the game?

Can never hurt!
Unless you’re on dialup, in which case we’ll talk again in a year!

(Press E) #15

@Matuno Haha never mind, seems like it fixed itself somehow. Didn’t touch anything since I last tried, but I managed to play five matches without getting kicked, so I think I’m good.
Thanks anyways, lol :stuck_out_tongue:

EDIT:
Oh, well never mind then. I’m being kicked again. Guess I’ll try reinstalling later

(Hot) #16

:s same problem here, did you manage to fix it?

(Press E) #17

Nope, didn’t make one difference
Seems to fix itself occasionally, but it never lasts.

(Necromancer) #18

The help from the developers here is just…overwhelming

(Matuno) #19

I waited a few days to see if it would fix itself somehow, too many people suffering from it all of a sudden, surely it would be fixed by now.

@NxA_Noxie , we really need to know if anyone on the dev/Nexon team has any information on what causes this new wave of persistent kicks.

@Necromancer @STARRYSOCK @Hot can you post back with:

  • What release of Windows you are on
  • What steps you have taken to try to solve this issue
and @Hot and @Necromancer - could you post the list of running processes via the instructions I gave earlier in this post? See if there’s a pattern…
