Getting kicked because you're too good

(extraordinaryEmperor) #1

Kinda sucks when you get kicked because you’re too good and then having all your xp gone. Can you address this issue?

(Potato Potasto) #2

Clearly the answer is to stop being so amazing

(extraordinaryEmperor) #3

Can’t contain the awesome :<

(frzn) #4

Are you sure that’s why you’re getting kicked? Because only your teammates can vote kick you.

(Ghosthree3) #5

I’ve been attempted kicked a few times but it never goes through.

i have played Dirty Bomb for a long time and i have seen countless kick votes and yet not a single one of them have actually succeeded in kicking the player. i’m really suprised you managed to get kicked, haha.

Uh I heard of someone, who’s brother in law saw someone, telling some other guy he heard of one beeing present when a votekick worked!
I even was present myself ONCE. g

Just be lvl 30+ and ppl will start votekicks vs. you directly on mapstart. Because you must be a hacker, etc, etc.
It’s annoying, but shit happens. If you have the chance, probably simply switch the team, and thank them by even playing better?

I deal with those more and more recently, they never go through though.

It’s not logical that the entire server group should suffer because of one person. If you’re a lot better than the normal pub scrubs, hit up a level 10 min server.

We’ve got an auto-kick for high K:D on our Battlefield 4 (dontcamp.com) server because one pro can decimate the server population and it sits empty once the round is over.

That being said, we will also white-list people if they want to play for fun and understand that we don’t want them to dominate and ruin the server for everyone else. That’s why we have a lot of very high-profile BF4 players that drop in to relax, chill and have fun. Which is the point of the game, neh?

I’m sure that these same options will be available when/if we can start hosting servers.

(Ghosthree3) #11

Gee. I sure am looking forward not to be able to play the game.

Gee. I sure am looking forward not to be able to play the game.[/quote]

by that I meant the ability to whitelist high k:d people.

Also, people on a whitelist generally can’t be kicked off the server.

(GeNKi) #13

I think they should work on more important things (and when there won’t be more important things then they should work on more content in general)…

So you got kicked once, if I were you, I would laugh on that. Rather than calling this funny moment an issue and asking for a fix.

(Yes) #14

Hold on, a vote kick passed?

(D'@athi) #15

Yea even got a cheater kicked this one time i was there while it happened. Ok, we had to tell most of them to press F1, and some where the F1-key is, but other than that, yeah.

(Ghosthree3) #16

We’re going to need video evidence.

(D'@athi) #17

I AM TELLING THE THRUTH, REALLY!!!oneoneleven!!!
one sad kitten just died, because you don’t believe me without prove

The dev’s updated the game for votekicks to actually work. You need a minimum of 4 people to have a successful votekick.

Putting that aside, there’s not much that can be done with kicking actually good players (as bad as it seems). The least that can be done is keeping exp/money when kicked since exp doesn’t really matter in this game. We don’t really care if hackers get in-game currency since items aren’t tradeable.

(XavienX) #19

Either is that that person is hacking or he’s too good or something, the vote always fails.

(PurpleNurple) #20

I’ve never had a problem vote kicking cheaters. Just tell everyone in voip to press f1. It’s not hard at all.

EDIT: Just successfully kicked one. Took a couple tries and yelling through voip to press F1 but we got it.
