Getting back Into Wolf ET but need help!

ok well today i started getting back into ET & i played a good round on No Quarters with a few ppl but now all i see is bots. I tried getting into a different server without no quarters & i got that GUID error. so i looked it up and got the automatic ET key gen to help.
im Running ET version 2.60 or whatever is on http://www.planetwolfenstein.com/files/files.shtml
i installed the 2.60 patch but do i need to install the 2.60b patch?
if so then where?

I need help setting this up because i really wanna play but it wont unless i stay in the server where i started which is some GOC clan sever,which leads to my other question…when i start up ET it starts up with their designs all over my menu and i dont want that lol how can i take that off??

plz help…i will b online waiting to see if i get a response

I’ve recently downloaded the custom ET2.60b version from splashdamage; http://www.splashdamage.com/wolfet this worked straight out of the box, so try it out!/

thx guys…let me intall that 2.60b and see how it goes…i uninstalled my old ET and deleted everything that had to do with it

well guys thanx for your help but nothing seems to work for me.i keep trying to log into a different server and it just redirects me to another that stil ldoesnt work and i end up with my startup menu covered in F|A server junk.

i used to love playing this game back in 06 but now i cant even play one single match without playing with nothing but bots…
i think im just gonna give it up and uninstall lol
i’ll just go back to BF3 on ps3. but thanks for your help tho those who actually helped

http://board.twcclan.org/thread-314.html you can try this for menus. It doesn’t overwite all thought - there can be used a special character in name to overwrite ~ which unfortunately doesn’t display properly in browsers so can’t post it but till now only 1 server which I joined used it (not F|A). Maybe also other characters but haven’t seen anything other yet.

Does this still include that masterserver redirect ? Can you look to which masterserver this is sending ?

No, this is an installer made by Harlekin which means it uses only official stuff + optional etkey download from etkey.org.

Just done a new install of Ubuntu 12.10 but the game won’t install. I get the following error message

su:authentication failure
Running setup as user
./setup.sh: 192 ./setup.sh: /home/doctoxic/.setup2936: not found

The et key was downloaded and stored without any problem
I know i am putting in my root password so don’t know why it fails authentication
I followed the steps in the readme

any help much appreciated
