I like how they kept the fact that mines will only explode when you step off them. Created some nervous situations in ET.

Interesting that mines can be shot at though. Kind of makes engineers pointless (obviously not overall, just the defuse mechanic has less importance now). Although I can definitely see some situations where Operatives would rather spot it instead of destroying. To keep the disguise, not appear on the radar etc.

Enemy disguise mechanic kind of scares me though. The ONLY way of knowing is to shoot them? Can’t even imagine how many horrible situations will be created with FF on.

I don’t really like how there is way the know who is disguised. The only way is to shoot them. But that is going to create some horrible situations with FF on.[/QUOTE]

Just a little bit of an over dramatization there I think, engineers are now pointless because mines can be shot? I think this is a response to the ‘grenade sponge’ (that one’s for you, jRAD) backlash that came from ETQW.

Another new video? Brilliant.

(CapnHowdy21) #6

While the later videos have less revealing info in them, they are all still very cool to watch.

Boring but nice cookie for the afternoon delight.

(Herandar) #8

I like how the command post upgrades work.

(Mustang) #9

Anyone know what this is for?

Yeah, that was a very pleasant surprise.

Am I clear on this point? The team that controls the CP gets health and/or weapon buffs automatically? That would certainly make controlling the CP more important to control, but is it balanced?
I don’t know what player health and buff health are so it’s hard to say.

I don’t know, but in the classes video, the objective wheel has it too.

Its a health buff, i.e. an extra pip more health. The other is supply buff(not weapon). So you get an extra pip of supply. Meaning one more use of abilities, essentially.

It displays how many people are currently using that class? That’s what it said in the video.

(CapnHowdy21) #14

He means the empty block next to the number of people using that class.

I have guesses, but I’ve never seen it be anything other then empty so they are random guesses.

  1. Aesthetics
  2. Something other then blank indicates how many of those people are bots, or are not bots.
  3. Theres plans for a commander ability, or there is a commander ability where a squad commander can assign people to switch to classes or do objectives.

(Mustang) #15

@EnderWiggin.DA.
No it doesn’t

(TAPETRVE) #16

Why would you prefer wasting ammo on a mine and risking to give away your position to having an engineer remove it, which takes no ammo and goes completely without noise?

(madness) #17

it’s faster

(iheartchainsaw) #18

I think that block next to the number is to show if its part of an objective. in other vids there is a ying yang looking icon indicating that class is needed for an objective.

Operative will cause a lot more confusion with FF on.

(Kabarka) #20

So other then being an operative and spotting the mine, there is no way for an other class to spot/see/hear a mine??
