General Question about W:ET and RTCW

(Saadi) #1

So I have still got some (maybe stupid ;)) questions to those games:

Wolfenstein ET:

Why neither Activision nor iD Software tell sth. about the Game on their site?
Didnt they developed the game?
Or did just SplashDamage develop it.
Thats stupid, activision was the Publisher.
In addition iD offeres ET as an download (but just in their FTP index somehow hidden
ftp://ftp.idsoftware.com/idstuff/et/win32/ )
That game is really good and its very popular (xfire Rank: top 10 most played games ) so i dont understand why they dont add it to their site its good PR

RTCW:

Why Activision deleted all thingy to Return to Castle Wolfenstein
As I rememberwww.castlewolfenstein.com ?
I know the game is old but why they stop support it?
In my opinion they can disable CD key check at multiplayer if it hasnt a proper website anymore…

id Software has references and specs for both on their site including both multi player and single player demos for RTCW while Activision has RTCW info and latest patch downloads for both RTCW and W:ET

btw, you may notice “Official Site” for W:ET is here on SD forums

Where are the references and specs of W:ET on iD and Activision?
There is nothing there.
Or did you mean just RTCW
If you have it give me the link I must be really blind.

And who released 2003 W:ET officiallly?

it’s all there, just LOOK

id W:ET:

id RTCW:

Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory further offers online players the option to slug it out in the intense Team Last-Man-Standing game mode, where squad-mates cooperate to ensure their team has the last surviving man on the battlefield. Additionally, players can engage with computer-controlled bots, both cooperatively and competitively, in all of the multiplayer maps and game types. With new game modes, character classes, weaponry, and added tactical skills, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory will keep gamers in the trenches for hours.

Ok sry on iD W:ET was hidden in Enemy Territory.
I thought Enemy Territory is just Quake Wars I couldnt know .
But Activision published W:ET it stands like this in Wikipedia.
Doesnt a publisher publish things? :stuck_out_tongue:
But its not there.

In addition im surprised that iD does not list the 2.60b update.

Isnt that the partly descritption for RTCW? ^^
