Geezer Propub: New Server

Hey guys, we just got a new server box and I’ve re-launched our Geezer Propub.

Server IP is 206.217.134.195

I believe the old server is still up and running, hosting co. hasn’t taken it down yet. I stopped it but it may start-up automatically, so don’t get confused with the old one, use the new I.P. address and add it to your favorites :slight_smile:

We had some lag issues previously and I’m really interested to see if the new box has solved those issues, so jump on and try it out and let me know how it’s running.

Alternate configs are available by voting them in (vote them in under the server mode menu). Configs available are:
eu Infantry only: classic 4v4 config
Infantry & Husy/Icarus: (default) same as above but with Husky and Icarus (no stroy bomb) available
eu 6on6 pub: classic 6v6 comp settings more or less
Pro-vanilla: more or less classic vanilla settings

There’s 20 slots, 2 are reserved so 18 are available.

Map rotation is:
Salvage, Sewer, Island, Refinery, Ark, Volcano

Someone teach me how to do it without crashing the server and I’ll add Radar and Maridia.

Nice.

Donnovan should be able to help you with the custom maps. You’ll need to create a .pk3 file for a campaign of maps.

I can help you with radar, maridia and any other custom maps. I can make you a custom campaign: what maps/order and what do you want it called?

As far as your old server still being up, what I did with the old TAW Ranked server was change the si_name. That way if/when it comes back up it’s clearly differentiated.

Someone was asking me just the other night if we were still doing this. Sad thing is, I hardly see any of the 20 or so peeps I’ve got on the friends list from the last series of propub nights.

Server WILL crash if you load one custom map, well, it’ll restart, you cant go thru that without a restart.

Probably everyone is off trying out BC2. But yeah, I think to make this work we need to make an event night. I’ll add a note to the message of the day or something and we’ll try and get Tuesday nights going again.

Well some of us are working second shift now with little time off… Would love to propub but i dont see it happening unless there are layoffs…

I am now working on second shift so i don’t see the propub happening for me, sadly i loved those games even with the massive lag.

Hi, i really dont know much about making custom servers. What i know, and people sayd here, is that you need to make a pk4 file with custom campaign declarations.

“My 5 cents” is that you can mix vanilla maps and custom maps on this custom campaigns.

If anyone is desperate for promod, I wouldn’t mind some LNA 1v1s on the hubris server. You can just pm me for a time and date or something. I’ve only been playing FPS on and off, and I would rather not pub it up when I get the chance to play… plus I didn’t get BC2 so just waiting things out (maybe others are in the same spot) :wink:.
