Type of Bug: Gameplay / Input
Description: While playing a match you suddenly can’t shoot or use your abilites anymore. Respawning solves the problem. Moving, iron-sighting and killing yourself still work.
Reproduction rate: Happened twice in ~8 hours of playing

I had this happen twice to me. The first time it happened I started trying to press buttons and it eventually started letting me shoot again, but the second time I wasn’t able to fix it and once I died/respawned it worked again.

Yes this has happened to me a few times as well. Only dying and respawning worked to reset the issue.

Is now happening repeatedly to me; about every fourth time I spawn

Happened to me multiple times while playing Proxy, I was about to get killed so I went to throw down a mine but got killed while doing so. Got revived and had my mine in my hands still but couldn’t throw another one or switch to another weapon.
I had no choice but to get killed and respawn to fix the bug.

Maybe it is a Proxy problem because it mainly happens when I am playing as her.

Not a Proxy problem as it is now occurring with other mercs. But getting worse. Seems to have started after I was invited to and installed PTS server. Is this bug related to that server?

Yea I had this happen with Fletcher and I saw my cousin have this a few times on Fletcher as well. He was playing Proxy the other day and managed to survive by running to a safe place and yelled at me to help him fix haha. Just wanna share my thoughts.
-Respawning does indeed let you shoot/slash again.
-Recently, after my cousin asked, I thought to myself more clearly that since it was related to clicking not doing ANYTHING, I tried to unplug/replug the mouse to make sure it was connected and surprisingly it worked! (Only fixed once, so I’m not sure this is a 100% fix)
-I have read on reddit that going on and off the MG also works but I have yet to try.

I had this yesterday with Phoenix in a pug, but I was still able to shoot and reload my primary gun. I just couldn’t change to my pistol, knife, paddles or pulse.

Seems to be related to using your F-key or special ability. If I am jammed like this and cannot switch weapons or tools, and then run up to an MG or plant zone, then it suddenly correct itself.

This happened to me over the weekend. Could not change weapon or fire. All other input and movement seemed fine. Fixed when respawned.

Now has developed a persistent pattern: jams on using F-key or special ability. On respawn the main weapon is firing incessantly and cannot be stopped unless you interact with an object requiring use of the F-key. Extremely frustrating.

[b][left]i have the same bug with the Proxy. As soon as i put down the mine i cant go back to my SMG knife. This only stops if i die, or repair something or when i’m back at the turret or when i pick up the mine again …
as u can see in the video i throw the mine but cant switch back to my SMG, therefore i have to pick up the mine and throw it again

I know this is an old thread, but it’s happened to me a few times this weekend. Besides dying, opening chat of all things fixed it.

This issue was supposedly fixed in the Ranked update and while I’ve experienced it less often, it still occurs now and then; it’s most noticeable with Fletcher if you switch to his bombs and throw them a bunch.
