Workaround is to remove any special characters from your name.

You get this error message while joining a server when you have special characters in your name.

Just to let everyone know, reinstalling the game does not seem to fix this issue.

I’ve been having the same problem ever since the new patch came out. I’m not able to join any servers at all.

Got it, then it suddenly started working again when I changed name. Unsure if that has anything to do with it, but I changed an ä to an e. Could, possibly, maybe, perchance, be something with the tweaks to the server browser? Since they apparently did something with that. Anyone else getting the issue with non-standard characters in their name, alternatively, anyone with them getting ingame?

Hi all, thanks for reporting and we are investigating this issue to fix it.

It is believed this is related to special or foreign characters in your profile name. As a workaround, if you change your name and remove those characters this may fix the problem for you.

it seems to be an issue with none standard characters in your name

Temporary fix - If your IGN contains any special characters please try changing them.
