"Funny" thing in "end-credits-movie" aft

Hey guys…

Theese last couple of weeks ive been playing COD singleplayer (wow, the best FPS sp game i ever tried…4real)…ANYWAYS…

after completeting the game, u see a “ending-movie”…and here comes…

u see this COD dude run in thirdperson view… and the end credits are rolling on your right side of screen… (long time) if u let it roll…the guy encounters some germans and here i noticed two funny things…the german says “die amerikaner” JUST LIKE IN WOLF…(and its NOT used during COD game before that point)…either im just “hearing” wolf everywhere i go…or else they TOOK that vocal sample FROM the RTCW game (i know it sounds vague, but if u heard urself…im prety sure u would recoqnize :slight_smile: "

And more to come… right after that…u see that COD guy…sneaking up on a german (who is firing a mortar)…and THAT german guy, i beleive is in ET uniform, (also not seen in the COD before here in ending credits)…

is it me , or did any other notice this :stuck_out_tongue:

Eh, despite being written by the ex MOH team, COD is based on RTCW code, and the original RTCW developers are in the credits. I didn’t notice that myself when I watched the ending movie, but I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they slipped that in.

Sorry, just looks like a German WWII Wehrmacht uniform to me. Somehow we neglected to acknowledge their copyright, I guess.

Eh, despite being written by the ex MOH team, COD is based on RTCW code, and the original RTCW developers are in the credits. I didn’t notice that myself when I watched the ending movie, but I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they slipped that in.

So they were able to use SD’s content (which the original RTCW team did nothing on i’d imagine, in the skin case) without permission? I dont think so.

And bongoboy stated it looks like a uni too. But, you’ve got to bare in mind that all these games are based on the exact same thing(s) be it different places and times but near enough exact. Hence things are going to be similar, all be it, the same.

id/activision own CoD/RTCW/ET so they can likely do anything they want with the media including crossing to different games. :moo:

The sound mentioned was not SD conetent, being from RTCW single player. For that matter, AFAIK, id and/or activision own the ET content, not SD.

Hrms, didnt even know CoD was Q3 engined let alone owned by iD/Acti… never played it or installed it for that matter. Do that alot with games :slight_smile: - Still got Magic The Gathering sittin at home sealed… :>
