On fuel dump, allies can get to axis side WITHOUT repairing the bringe or constructing foot bridge. There are at least 2 places, where you can jump above barbed wire . You lose 20 life, but it’s not such a high price for all Mg42/Panzerfaust soldiers and snipers dead. Especially if you play medic. You can wait for your teammates behind the wire and heal them.
I think it’s not the way it should be. Splash Damage: can you fix this map, please ?
Errmm, something that easy can’t be an exploit. It’s obviously meant to be like that. I did that once in a cw on warmup and the opponent started screaming that I was cheating, damn HL-noobs
Hmm these places have been there since test. I’m sure SD knew about it since they fix the boost over the wall at the dump itself. Frankly I don’t know why people want this fix they are easy to defend anyone guarding the foot bridge can easy watch the one spot with no issues knowing they have to come over it in one certain spot makes it really easy to get a headshot on them easily.
My suggestion is let it go and learn to defend it.
It isn’t like this gives you any real advantage. It only allows you to attack the people that are there, who are going to massively outnumber you.
There is no way to the back of the base once you get up there.
The gaps in the fence are known. They are not flaws, they are there intentionally.
In all honesty, the point of the map is not about getting players across the stream. If you don’t get the tank across its pointless to push a few troops over there. What are they gonna do? Boost an engie and covertOps through the axis spawn? Unlikely.
Anybody who didn’t know about the fence jump who has played since the first week is obviously a complete fuckin’ eejit just ask those “commando ninja death beasts” in the “I am so good I get voted off servers” thread they must know their shit.
Strange how I can never find these highly trained individuals in my pathfinder and believe me I have marked them all down in my search so I can be enlightened and watch in awe as they single handedly liberate/invade europe/africa and completely own my poor unskilled arse.
Shit, I’ll probably have to vote them off the server they are so good.
You’re welcome. Today I played on TFP (The Fearless Pigs) clan server. Ask for Flametrooper. Last round I played I had slighty above 500 exp, nearest was 350 or so. One of my favourite servers. Some of others are: ardy.net, STREFA, G-TAP Insurrection… I play every class, I’m best at Medic and quite good as Soldier (Panzefaust, Mortar, Mg42, Flamer…).
then what’s the point of the foot bridge or the bridge itself (not reinforced)?[/quote]
First, you won’t take damage if you go across either bridge. Ok, except from the defending axis.
Second, you missed my main point. The mission isn’t to get troops across the stream, its to get the tank across. The tank doesn’t jump up the side and through the little gap. It goes across the big bridge.
Third, getting through the gap takes more effort than running across the bridge. Traversing the bridge allows to keep an eye on the axis on the other side an whether they are shifting to kill you when you get across.
Fourth, the gaps can be used to get troops in position to help cover the bridge builders. But the main bridge still needs to built if you are gonna blow the main tunnel door.
Naturally, this can all be avoided by sneaking in, but I’m ignoring that tactic for this discussion.
The gap is important, you’re supposed to use it. It lets you kill field ops and mortars so that your engineers can build the bridge. It’s also useful for allied covert ops to get a uniform. It’s not difficult to defend against, and the allies would have a really hard time getting the bridge up without it, if they were fighting a good axis team.
on battery i was an ally field op and a medic revived me beneath the assault ramp when an axis field op threw an airstrike i was catapulted behind the radar thingie near the bunker and stayed there till the end of the map i made 148 kills with arty and airstrikes and the weird thing is i was kinda stuck and couldn’t move the whole time
