Friendly Flash Bangs

(KayDubz) #1

Seems like my teammates can blind me with their concussion grenades.

Remove this. No other friendly weapons hurt teammates.

(darlingClaymore) #2

No, it balances thunder. Don’t want more of them out…

(cornJester) #3

They specifically said that isn’t supposed to happen. If it is happening it’s a bug.

(Mr-Penguin) #4

Lost a decisive firefight today because a friendly Thunder just had to throw his conc on the planted C4…

It’s really annoying.

Wait…Nader grenades, Proxy’s mines, Fragger’s nade, Fletchers sticky bombs, and air support don’t hurt friendlies with friendly fire on?

(watsyurdeal) #6

Thing is if there is no friendly fire on, then the concussion nades shouldn’t affect my team mates.

(N8o) #7

Yea, annoying as hell. Sniff kept trolling me today by throwing them near me :frowning:

Also, they go through spawn shields. It’s funny as shit,

There isnt friendly fire on in pub matches. Yet concussion nades are the only things that effect teammates. No other weapons do that.

How I believe it works from the games I’ve played is that you can get your screen to go white and even get the sparklies but you will never lose normal mouse control and you can still see what’s going on…but the screen is just really white.

I know it is sort of out of line with most everything else in the game but if he didn’t flash his teammates, at least in this minimal way, the flash would be extremely powerful since it’s blind radius is pretty big. You could have a whole team push into an area and not be blinded while the entire room of enemy players is blind if you didn’t have team flash on. Or a Thunder on defense could throw one and have his teammates mop up after it went off on a push.

Basically, people are going to need to start using flashbangs intelligently. It will take a while to get used to it.

You guys should do a trolling video. Have you and your gang of friends go on pub and just spam concussion grenades at the enemies.

(darlingClaymore) #11

I don’t feel you people have seen what the nades do… in direct contact hitting you right on, its like a 3 second blind, he litterly gets a free kill or kills

Try saying that when Thunder’s on free rotation…

I agree with this 100%, the concs would be so strong if teammates were 100% immune. It’s not a full blind on teammates, they can still see whats going on.

(brennanfreak) #14

I just look at my map when I get friendly-banged.

(fubar) #15

We believe it might be a config thing. I and others using my config don’t, ever, get flashed by teammates. This is true for adeto’s and lightning’s config too. Not sure about others.

A lil a bit of topic, but what do you think about his LMG, i think it sucks balls. Are you going to make a review soon. Btw keep up the good work bro, i love your channel.

(kittz0r) #18

so if people say its a good think that Teammates are being blind too, whats the reason to have Thunder in your Team?

Thunder is an Assault Class which means he is going to be at the Frontline, which means ahead of his Mates…

Airstrikes deal massive AoE damage and don’t harm teammates. Exploding C4 don’t harm teammates. Frag grenades don’t. Fire or a laser beam don’t affect the teammates because some weird-futuristic things. Why is the concussion nade for teammates, too?
SD should make everyting with the intention “to use intelligently” or nothing.

(3N1GM4) #20

We should also remove friendly red eye’s smoke, and visual effects of air strikes, lasers, nader bombs, and stickies.

/sarcasm

It’s not dealing you damage so you aren’t affected by it. It would be entirely op and unrealistic (yes yes, i know not a realism game) if it didn’t.
