As far as I know it’s always been present. That’s the entire idea of the mode, to be introduction to competitive, with all the mechanics and proper teamsize.

that’s so weird… I don’t know why I’m almost sure it wasn’t at one point… oh well.
FF was added sometime in the middle of the ‘pre-season’ so you are not wrong. It wasn’t there originally as the friendly fire rules weren’t really set in stone yet and there was no method to punish teamkillers. They worked all that stuff out in dirtycups/pugs first before adding it to ranked.
I am afraid FF would be abused in pubs.
On some COD 1 servers (back in 2003 :D), the one who fired his mates was the one taking the damage. Could it work on DB for pubs ?
Else, I would keep it as it is.

It’s always been there… 0.o
Or at least, it’s been there as early as August 2015… I got to level 7 in less than a day… and I’m pretty sure we only needed to level 5 back then to play competitive… whatever the case is, I ended up playing ranked within the first 3 days of playing this game; FF was there.

unless you want the CoD 1 UO experience. i fodnly remember me getting killed accidently, then me killing him, and after that the whole base was killing eachother top guy had a score of -50 XD
