So they nerfed the fragger to the ground. His nade is now useless and his gun is also worse. Didn’t think a nerf this big was needed

I wouldn’t say it’s useless just yet, it still gibs enemies if they are on top of the nade when it goes off.
Kinda like Proxy’s mines who only gib if you are right on them when they trigger.
I actually think fragger is probably a lot more balanced now, maybe just right. Need to see some comp gameplay to be sure though.
Well before he was trowing those nades so fast like he is a damn robot- now its more balanced and realistic against other mercs and i think this could be his last nerf maybe, will see - he should be perfect now !
Still seems like easy mode on pubs, let’s wait and see what effect this has on competitive play.
I felt that the grenade nerf is fine. Dmg wasn’t touchex at all, so it can kill still. It’s just that player can react to the grenades now, which was what players wanted. The gun nerf though, idk about it, since I never liked Fragger’s MG in the first place.
I’m fine with the nade nerf as it’s one of the suggestions I’ve made in the past in regards to all explosives not gibbing or being much hard to gib out. Makes them good but not something you win or lose by.
The LMG really didn’t need the nerf though IMO. I’m not sure why they touched it as the M4 was already seen as a pretty good alternative and now it might be the superior choice after the last round of nerfs to the gun and the augments. I’ll have to play around with it to be sure though but I’m fairly certain that the M4 will be the gun of choice now for the class and the only real choice since the BR16 on Fragger is pretty laughable right now.
At least the non-jumping scope sway of Vassili was changed back so you can now be a lot more mobile. I believe jump shooting is less of an option now though.

the 10% spread nerf to fragger first shot is probably because of how accurate tragedy was with his triggerbot 1tapping k121 which devs saw, a noticeable nerf but k121 is still a great weapon
sounds like LMG is being pushed more towards mid-long range engagements with ADS where it retains nice accuracy, not unlike GPMG from QW.
Not a bad idea, as it exposes a counter to fragger by bumrushing him at close-mid range (not too close though, as bodyshots will still shred you if your proxy and the like)
I don’t think so, it’s still deadly accurate in close range. It just forces you to use iron sights more often at range, which is a tiny bit of a nerf I guess.
Started playing fragger a lot now. I did have a chance to play him a bit before the nerf too.
The new MG is noticeably a bit bad at range unless you ads, but I totally expected and wanted that. It still can wreck pretty well. Same with the frags. You can still get some pretty easy kills, especially in hallways. He’s staying in my loadout.
Can’t stop revive trains as well now. But that issue is next on the list to fix, I bet.

you’re supposed to have your own revive train and win the fight with your team.
there are just not enough people who play medic at the moment in my opinion.

actually i think revive trains are A BIG problem in DB atm. cause kills are not punishing enough. in 5v5 comp first team with medics dying would lose the firefight, according to the cup.
Impossible to gib fragger right after downing him, cause its too easy and too fast to revive, with very little punishment to the medic and revivee (in W:ET, reviving would slow the medic down incredibly, and would take a while for the revived person to get back in the fight)
I really hope medic trains are next on the nerf list

The difference is the revive shield, really. In ET as well as RtCW you’re locked down for a period of time after having been revived, which gives you an opportunity and ample of time to deal with the medic, where as in DB the reviveè is able to shoot and move immediately, it creates an atmosphere where revives are simply more dominant. In ET you had to make the choice of going for the kill or hiding out behind the revived person, in DB you can do both, revive and kill with the instant backup of your teammate.

yep this i guess, it also gave the revived person some time to prepare.
In ET i never died for reviving someone, happens in DB all the time

I like gibbing. I wish explosives were more potent, ie shooting a downed player with nader or even just a frager grenade. Really weird mechanic behind it.
I’m all for the revive shield, I just don’t like their current implementation of it. Different topic all together.
