Fps lag

(regaliaEmpire) #1

Yo, so i start playing this game a week ago and my pc was running it fine at 60 fps playing like 3v3 4v4 or even 5v5, now only 1 server is full and its like 8v8 and my fps just die, theres alot of fps spikesin full games i think they should fix that. If you have any advice how to make the game faster please let me know. ( i play with everything on low)

(MissMurder) #2

Have you noticed anything in particular that aggravates this?

(potty1) #3

This is because the performance of the game has not been looked at much yet. I know that it is a patch many people are waiting for and it will come! Hold tight and your frames will be steady once this patch comes

(Bangtastic) #4

I think a big part is the unoptimized? lighting on maps

(potty1) #5

It is more the maps having bits that are not visible or used much when it comes to the maps

I am having the same issue with lag. I can be in a 2V2 or so server and be fine, but when more people join it gets crazy laggy. The main issues are sound and walking up hills or stairs. IF there is anyway to fix this please let me know.

Tweak your config. http://forums.dirtybomb.nexon.net/discussion/1026/tweaking-dirty-bomb-config#latest.
I hope this helps

It didn’t work but thanks anyway.

Yeah all that does is set the ingame settings back to on when I adjusted them to low or custom. No settings

i’m averaging around 30fps. i5/NVIDIA 720M and i’ve heard of lower specs with higher fps :open_mouth:

Can I send in a dxdiag file perhaps?
Or further ingame tweaking?
Can I /Exec the .ini file somewhere?

I want to play a lot but feeling slowed tests your patience. :stuck_out_tongue:

(Humbug) #10

you have to set it to “Read only” after editing the config

(appreciativeBuster) #11

I tried it a few times

now it’s fixed and running smooth at 60fps

Wow I thought I was the only one. I had insane FPS lag. At first I thought it came from ping because I got it while playing EUs on their server but then it continued throughout the rest of the day. I think it’s gone now though.

(genuineFossil) #13

Hello. I wonder if the fall of FPS will continue or parar.Issu and a game bug or my computer? I play BF3 and BF4 at most 90 FPS … Grateful

(genuineFossil) #14

Não estou entendendo o Dirty Bomb. Grafico no Low e no Maximo ficam o msm FPS.Isso vai mudar?

(thegamingcell) #15

Hello I am having a problem, I can run a max of 60 fps on Dirty Bomb but when I go into the game I get a max of 15 fps. I don’t know if it is the game or something I have to tweak, Any one know please.

(unearthlyCucumber) #16

airstrike i think mid match the strikes go full time after 4-5 the teams get deadlock and use the airstrikes and lasers etc

(unearthlyCucumber) #17

airstrike and stuff like this i think midmatch they are used allot and fps dives

I’m also getting some serious FPS lag. I’ve uploaded a video of it.

The echo is purely how I set up the recording software (bandicam). There are several moments where the lag jumps up above 1second…

*edit: My setup is included in the description of the video, and just in case:
GeForce GTX 970
AMD FX-8150
16GB RAM
1920x1080, 60Hz
WIN7 Professional 64bit
GPU Driver version: 353.30

Your rig is much stronger than mine. You should being able to run it smooth as a babies butt.
Maybe I’m just lucky, but “unoptimized games” always run fine on my middle-class rig.

@AlienResidents That doesn’t look like its the games fault, looks more like something is hogging your PC for brief intervals. I would suspect either some programm running in the background or alternatively some sort of caching activity i.e. memory getting filled up and your PC starting to write to disk.
Could also be some faulty hardware maybe one of your ram banks not running right or something similar.
