Does anyone adjust their field of view?
if so to what?
What other settings do you adjust?

I adjusted my FOV, it was insanely low by default. Not sure if it’s like that for everyone, but I can’t imagine going back to the default FOV now. I think mine is around 90.
As for other settings, disabling view bob and camera animations is an absolute must. There’s also some menu blur option that they added pretty recently. Disabled it the moment it came out, so I can actually sort of see the background when I look at the leaderboard.
I’ve also turned off most lighting effects, since DB barely uses them much anyways, and some of them are just a bit distracting, like light shafts. Set particle detail to low too, I’ve barely seen any difference. Distortion also doesn’t seem to be used much, so might as well keep it off.
The only settings I like to keep on high are texture related. High quality materials too, it just makes the game look so much better. My monitor is only 60 hz and my computer is semi-decent, so I’ve got enough room for it.

Still doesnt help with the thunder flash lol

For FOV, in general, the lower the better.
I find it more useful to be able to see what’s going on around me than zoom in for better aim. DB isn’t deathmatch after all, I just can’t imagine playing a medic or something on low FOV

yes…
higher fov means you can see more on screen, especially if you’re aiming medium to long distance. it also helps to spot more enemies and be aware of you’re surrounding as you can see more. personally i keep fov to the highest unless if effects my game performance (fps).

but increasing FOV means increasing the perceived distance by player.
you will sometimes get stabbed by phantom that arent in melee distance even though in reality its already closer than you think it is.
in short, some things may look farther than in reality.
To me, the argument of Low FOV = Reduced Awareness isn’t valid. Lower FOV does have advantages in combat, and the so called “flaws” of lower FOV, them being to do with decreased vision, is something that can be accounted for through gamesense, or simply looking around you more often. I’ve played at 65 FOV ever since the beginning, and don’t think theres ever a situation where i’d say “Damn if I was on 110 FOV I wouldn’t have died there”
90 fov for me. I like wideness, but not super wide. Also makes you feel like you’re running faster.
I use whatever the highest option is.
Being able to see more helps a lot, especially when holding angles.
But I main snipers, so I get a zoom in when I scope which is why I don’t feel the downside of enemies appearing smaller, perhaps if you use a lot of assault rifles for long range, or weapons like Dreiss and Grandeur then an fov of 90 will be better for you. Just give both a try and see what you like best
But I don’t think you should ever go below 80.

I snipe better with a lower fov
Snipers have a fixed fov when zoomed in. As do every other weapons in their respective weapon type.

maybe im confusing it with the augment that gives u extra view
I play with 100 fov (maximum) for me. Not helping on longer range but I definitely prefer wider view.
@stayfreshshoe 90 should be default settings.
You can not imagine how much newcomers does not even know what this parameters means and struggle to understand what is happening around them with the default 65.
I could not believe it when I started to witness this, but there’s in fact a humongous amount of people never paying attention to much of the settings available in this game. On our clan discord, I’ve already seen numerous players who were in their level 30s who still never paid attention about shadow quality or even vertical sync, so you surely know what happened to their default 65 fov : Totally unnoticed.
So give newcomer a pretty wide fov to begin with, its easier to understand the mess DB is with those wide parameters.
I honestly don’t think I’ve ever messed with the FoV setting in game…worried it may affect my already meh play lol

That’s something you can get used to pretty quickly though. Any adjustment in FOV takes some getting used to really.
And personally I find meleeing/avoiding melee a lot easier with high FOV, lol

I was kinda the same when I started. I was playing on default FOV until around level 30 or 40 and had no problem with it whatsoever, and I never really thought about it either. A friend recommended that I change it, so I decided to try. At first it was a nightmare to get the hang of, but once I did it was so much better.
Playing on low FOV while you’re used to it isn’t that bad, but you should really play around with a higher one. It’s a different playstyle, but it definitely helped me once I got used to it.
I main medic tho, so maybe it’s just my playstyle, but I can’t imagine going back to low FOV now. So much easier to pull off mid air longjump revives and the like.
As high as the in game setting lets me.> @STARRYSOCK said:

I get outright sick when playing on most default fov settings in games.
Just bear in mind DB uses vertical degrees rather than horizontal. If you’re trying to match a specific FOV from a different game you’ll likely need to convert.

Oh that’s useful to know. Does it affect all iron sights or only sniper scopes?
P.S. pls fix potato graphics and resolution
