@Ardez What if the re-release was for the full price rather than at a discounted price, and didn’t come with founders status. All you would get would be a default loadout, with no augments?
Ontop of that, I have yet to see anyone actually have these skins, so I’m led to believe that not alot of people purchased it, or those people don’t play this game very much anymore. The only way I even found out about these skins is that someone had an obsidian beta fighter card and while looking it up on the internet, stumbled across it.
@Ardez My dedication to this developer goes well before Dirty Bomb, I bought the special edition of Brink, and the game was almost dead on arrival, no one played it as long as I did, I even waited for the DLC that never came out for Brink, and finding out that there wasn’t going to be a Brink 2 made me move on to other games. But I did sign up for the newsletter from splash damage via Brink, and I never got a notification that Dirty Bomb was being developed, or was in an alpha stage, otherwise I would’ve purchased as I like the games they make. So why is my dedication so devalued simply because there wasn’t enough marketing surrounding this game?
you still don’t get it. Its not about the money. Its about owning up to the promise SD made to the founders; which is that the skins they will get are exclusive and unique.

What about those of us who were supporters well before Dirty Bomb?! What about those of us who would’ve liked to have been a founder but simply couldn’t because we weren’t notified via newsletter from splash damage even though we signed up for it well before hand, don’t you think those of us who are long supporters of this developer feel like we are being slapped in the face? I sure as hell do!
I think that’s what you don’t get.
Whatever thought you have that justifies that idea, I’m sure you can mozy on over the the microsoft forums and tell those who supported Capcom by purchasing SF4 that it’s their fault for not being strong enough supporters to warrant SF5 coming to XboxOne.

you didn’t get the information.
yet all those founders did. I’m not a founder and I still remember the call for them.
This tells me that it is your bad luck.
Plus, support for previous games doesn’t mean anything IN THIS game. Should we get +10k credits cause we played ET, or QW, or Brink?
@Szakalot Well, other developers do similar things, example, gears of war judgement. You got the main character from bulletstorm as a playable character if you purchased bulletstorm and purchased gears judgement. If it were a different developer then no it wouldn’t matter, but it isn’t a different developer, and bad luck doesn’t excuse not notifying someone via newsletter that signed up for it not getting the memo. That kind of thinking is detrimental to business. You’re basically saying it’s your fault for not getting the e-mail, and not an error with our notifier.

This is not the developer forums. This is the Publisher forums. The developers rarely reply to any posts here. I would suggest bringing this up to the Devs at the Splash Damage forums if you are as concerned/outraged as you appear to be.
This is why I hate working retail. Because the customer is most certainly not always right.
Yes.
Oh, you are quite wrong. I see them all the time, and the definitely play, just mostly in PUGS and not on PUB servers. On top of that, they don’t always use them because there are better loadout options.
I love the skins to death, don’t get me wrong, I would do… things… for the Sawbonez one, but at the same time I understand that they will NEVER release that skin to me because I am NOT a founder, never will be, and I do NOT deserve it, and I am NOT entitled to it. Even if I was a long supporter of Splash Damage for other games, those other games are NOT Dirty Bomb. It sucks we missed out but that is life.
You’re talking like you deserve and you’re entitled to the skins because you want them and are willing to spend money on them. That isn’t how the world always works, SD has integrity to keep those skins exclusive to the founders which is fine. They will release more skins in the future, and possibly better ones as well!

I said nothing about deserving it, or that I am entitled to it, but just that is unreasonable. If you think that money is the end all be all decision maker then you are very, very wrong.
After having heard of alienware cards I am sure there will be a variety of different promotional bling to be had for the vigilant bling collector in the future.
I already know what will happen when he makes a similar post at the dev forums though… Exactly what happened here

I really don’t think you understand about consumerism, the customer is always right,
You’re right. There is more to this then money. The people who were vigilant and regularly watched SD’s happenings were able to catch on to the founders package and buy one if they wanted to. The devs promised the items to be exclusives.
So yeah, if money was the end all decision maker then they would be available. A huge part of marketing founders packs is that nobody will ever be able to get them again.
