Founders Skins.

I have been scowering the internet and amazon looking for founders keys, or a way to purchase a founders pack to get ahold of the awesome skins that came with. After looking all over the place I finally came across something very disheartening on warchest, the site I guess where founders can check their status and items or whatever. It says that the founders skins will never be attainable by any other means… ever…

Like seriously? That’s how your going to be about it Splash Damage? I played the closed beta only after winning a key from a stream on twitch and it was only for a week,but I loved the game, absolutely loved it, but I couldn’t get back into the beta even after submitting my email and all that jazz to get access, which is the same for any other beta I’ve ever tried to get in, and on top of that it didn’t show up on steam or anything for purchase into beta or alpha access so how the hell were you supposed to get into it to purchase the founders pack?!

I’m very big on pay2bling and I know this post sounds ranty and childish, but with all the BS that comes from pre-ordering games and paying for early access and the stupid gimmicks like that, I finally came across a game that I would feel completely comfortable supporting and to see that these founders skins are never going to be available is just a huge letdown. I know it’s not a big deal, I know it’s not gamebreaking, but to me it just sucks and makes me a little sad inside, if I COULD have bought into this I WOULD have!

Nope… As far as I know they were given to people in early alpha

Not for Founders they won’t. But if they released a third case that was purchase only, and was 100% cosmetics, then that would help money making.

I would like to have a dev or community manager answer this question, as I am holding out hope that one day I could get one of the founders skins since they are just simply better looking in every way to the vanilla loadouts.

The founders program was a limited time offer back in 2012 or so. Selling it right now would completely devalue everyone’s skins who invested their money into the game back then. You didn’t buy the founder package, you can’t get the skins, simple as that.

the alienware skins don’t look any different than the bronze loadouts, other than the cardback, I dont care about the cardback all I want is the character skins, and I dont see how it would devalue their purchase, it’s 3 years later if it happened in 2012, I’d pay double the most expensive one to get all the founders skins!

The Founders skins are a status symbol and a way to show you are as oldschool as you can get. You can’t simply give that status for any noob with cash.

Founder skins are for people who put hard $$$ back when game was in very early development. The whole point of a founder skin is that only a selected few have it. If these skins would be obtainable by new means, it would be a slap in the face of every single founder.

Founder’s skins are for FOUNDERS. You did not found the game therefore you cannot have the skins. I say this as a Founder not for this game but for a couple others.

I don’t think founder pack purchaser’s would mind, I’m sure they would understand that if other people wanted those skins and had to pony up just as much cash it would be understandable. Look, I don’t care about founder status, I don’t care about the cardback that says founder on it, I would literally take a default loadout with no augments if it just had the skin selectable. Would that be okay? Would that devalue their purchase? If I could just buy the skin and have it as a default loadout with no augments?

So you basically just want to look as good as founders? Perhaps a completely new cool looking skin would be a better idea in that case? The possibilities are endless, no need to devalue the good old founders.
