Forums Upgraded to vbulletin 4

A new blog entry has been added:

[drupal=854]Forums Upgraded to vbulletin 4[/drupal]

Behold - the Splash Damage forums have been updated with a fresh coat of paint and are now running vbulletin 4. vb4 brings with it numerous improvements and additional features, including being able to sign in with your Facebook account, getting notifications when one of your posts is quoted, and being able to quickly check out recent forum activity in a new sidebar on the forum home page.
On a related note, vbulletin 4 includes significantly improved password security as well. You’ll need to re-enter your password to take advantage of the new encryption mechanisms - we recommend doing that right away if you like keeping your account as secure as possible.
Lastly, as with any major software upgrade, there’s bound to be bugs and other issues, so if you spot anything that doesn’t quite look or work right, do let us know in the comments and we’ll get right on it. Happy browsing!

(Loffy) #10

OMG, change!

(stealth6) #11

It’s so bright and different! I can’t handle the change!

(darthmob) #12

Neat! I’m no fan of the colour scheme though. Seems a bit hard on the eyes and some elements are missing borders and stuff.

(murka) #13

Multi-quote button!!!

Tho i noticed the background image on the redirect page after logging in isn’t repeating vertically.

(nukits) #14

Looks nice

(Runeforce) #15

Looks SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET

(Raga) #16

Nice work

(Salteh) #17

Yeah, there are some small things left to do… that’s what tomorrow is all about :).
(some opera / IE issues, the login page body height, etc.)

(Spendlove) #18

Hmmm problem. The awards next to people’s names stick out into and overlay people’s writing. Not cool! I can’t read the first three lines of anyones post!

For the record I read the forum on an iPhone. Or sadly it looks like I used too :<

(Slade05) #19

Now remove this stars **** and we`re good.

(Salteh) #20

We’ve disabled the awards display (in threads) for now, but they’ll be back tomorrow!
