Well it’s an SQL problem and those are the worst!

I know - I maintain umpteen different databases each day.

This has happened to me when either permissions get screwed, the table itself gets corrupted, or the table is missing. With PHPBB, I think that table just need to be recreated. It should auto-populate itself.

Maybe we should ask Chuck Norris? He will know what to do! And if everything else fails he can roundhouse-kick the forum search function to make it work again!!!

Just tried this and it works pretty well, only problem is that you get the results from all the forums: Is there any way you can use google and get the results from the “Level Design for Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory”-forum only?

I’d sugest to add this to your query:

" Level Design for Wolfenstein"

Given that it only appears above threads in that forum, it should be enough to filter out unwanted forums.

Seriously guys… this is bad, and sad. There r only few online things worse than a knowledge database with a broken search function.

Yep it’s still b0rked, and I apologise.

The backend is a big mishmash mess so we’re talking about redeveloping the whole site at the moment. In the meantime i’m hitting up the guy who put the site together in the first place to have a look at it, so normal service should resume soon. I inherited some very odd stuff here!

create some blogs for the dev’s! let us know what SD guys are working on, how tapirs plans to conquer the world are going, how sweet is the tea at the office, how you reacted to the england defeat @ WC (har i’m portuguese i had to mention that xD), give us tips on the games you’ve developed and design tips for mappers and modders xD

create a team of of dev’s from SD to play against a team from the w:et/doom3/quake community! just for laughs! har! (i know i know it’s a stupid idea)

this is what i love the most about SD, they’re so close to the community that they almost feel like they’re part of it. oh wait, they are part of it! most dev’s just act out in an arrogant fashion to their fans/customers.
