Forum damage: search function broken

(mortis) #61

We may need a “forum” with a “search function”. I don’t think it can be done. We don’t have the necessary message board technology to handle the noobs, captain!

(ouroboro) #62

Beam me down a shot, Scotty!

(Gringo) #63

Seriously, the forum bein borked for so long is just unprofessional

(EB) #64

hey, did anyone know the forum search button was broken ?

(Lanz) #65

Is the search broken?!? First time I’ve heard that.

(Shanks) #66

Quit spreading such malarky

(Northerner) #67

is this ever going to get fixed?

(mortis) #68

There are a few possibilities:

  1. Yes

  2. No

  3. We’re too busy making/playing QuakeWars to care…

(nUllSkillZ) #69

There was a search button?

(Northerner) #70

We’re too busy making/playing QuakeWars to care…

been hearing that for over a year now! get on with it already!

(ripthesystem) #71

20,000 14 year olds have forums with searches. The people that make the video games they play can’t get it in a month? :frowning:

(EB) #72

go to google:

type in:
WHAT YOU WANT TO FIND site:splashdamage.com

(Ragnar_40k) #73

How do you “View posts since last visit” with google?

(Sauron|EFG) #74

Try using google to find some fairly recent threads and you’ll see how badly that works.

Example

(ParanoiD) #75

Answer

You said recently so just add 2006 so you probably find only posts that are made in 2006.

(Sauron|EFG) #76

In what way is that an answer? One of the 2 results is an invalid link and the other points to the first page of the index. :stuck_out_tongue:

(iwound) #77

find all posts - is affected now, im terrified of pressing anymore buttons incase the screen explodes im my face.
If taddy’s teddy was president he would hav sorted it. the old fashioned way.

(jaybird) #78

It seems like a simple permission issue. Isn’t this simple to fix???

(Salteh) #79
