They’re here! This is the initial version of the system and in terms of how it’s all looking is pretty much where we want it to be. There are a few back-end issues to be sorted out still, such as setting up a scheduled task for updating your awards, notifying you when you get a new one, and so on.

In the meantime, take a look at what you and others have gotten so far and let us know if you stumble across any broken bits.

Somewhat related, there are two changes to the forum in addition to the awards:

  1. We now have a user reputation system allowing you to rate individual posts and leaving feedback for the poster.
  2. To fit all the awards icons and such under everyone’s username, the new avatar size is 64x64. Avatars larger than that will be cropped down automagically, but you’ll probably want to adjust yours regardless to achieve maximum eye candy.

Feedback on all of this is, as always, welcome.

Lastly, a huge thank you goes out to the Saltmeister who just spent the better part of today here at the office getting everything up and running. <3 Salteh!

4 stars is the default rating (should it be 3?).

I should also point out that we initially only processed users who had posted recently, so if you haven’t posted in a while, your awards won’t show up yet. Going foward, the updater script will process anyone who’s posted since the last run - in other words, if your awards aren’t showing up yet, just make a post and you’ll be processed in the next batch.
