Played BF4 for most of today and I find it humorous that even a MMS has sprint + reload but not XT. =P In addition it plays like complete garbage for a AAA title. Gunplay seems tight, but switching weapons, movement etc. is terribly chunky. Anyway, just wanted to let SD know, which I’m sure they’re aware, if an MMS can do sprint + reload. So can XT, don’t worry about your precious newcomers that you’re so worried about. They’ll manage.

Why is BF4 garbage? I haven’t played it yet, but doesn’t it have some kind of spectator feature now, commander, 5 man squads, larger maps - things people were asking for during the development of BF3? Also a bunch of other features that definitely make it AAA worthy.
I’m hoping BF4 has some features to support comp play so it doesn’t have an expiration date on day 1 (like BF3 did)

It’s another case of adding lots of frills and not focusing enough on the core.

- BF4 is slower than BF3
- Still the same bugs from BF3
- Movement system is still the same and still buggy
- Net code is not so much better as they say, I still got some 90° bullet syndrôme but still better than BF3
- Levolution ? mouhahahahaha the building animation is horrible and that’s apparently the only thing you can destroy on this map and some little others things - less destruction than in BF3
- Tint filter is back

On mobile device so I will leave a short comment before digging in. I can throw a fist full of leaves farther than you can throw a grenade and on top of that the grenades drop slower than a Tetris block on stage 1. It’s atrocious.

BF4 will drop to nothing within a few weeks as did BF3. Competitively BF3 had no future, I doubt 4 will be any different.

BF4 focused on console this time around, I expect it to be worse for the PC.
I hope no one here was depending on an eSports scene for the PC BF4. To me that just seems like a bad joke.

BF4 or better BF3.5 could be the better BF3. Not sure what they did on esport side for the game, but the BF guys haven’t got a game and are also waiting for something new. As long as EA throws in enough money, it will be still played no matter how unqualified it is for esport.

For anyone who planned on playing BF4, I will give you my analysis.
I only play domination because I think vehicle combat is retarded. That’s probably because I’m old school and believe vehicles are a crutch for people that can’t aim. I know some people actually enjoy driving a tank/chopper so if you enjoy that sort of thing you’ll probably like conquest.
As for domination, yes you can destroy the environment but it’s all preset and generally by the end of a map it’s all the same because of all the spam. The environment is so detailed to a point of where it’s negative. It LOOKS really nice. But playing in it is ****. Countless times per match you can and will get stuck on a soda can or a piece of rubble that you should be able to just walk over. It’s very annoying to enter a room, try and strafe to shoot someone but you are unable to muster up the quad strength to lift up your leg and walk over or through a 4x4 cardboard box.
BF4 has a delay when damage is dealt which leads to you dying behind walls/cover and dying from the person you just killed .5 - 1 second afterwards.
Weapon switch feels like it’s 2 seconds or so. Very long.
Switch to a grenade and preparing to toss it takes for…****ing…ever. The grenades in this game are by far the worst I’ve ever experienced. I’ve thrown a grenade on a roof and watched it fall through 2 stories multiple times. This is a problem I remember happening since BC2. You would think after all these years they would get this down.
The fact that people are happy they added end game chat should really be a warning sign for most PC players. End game chat has been around since the 90s. Why was it even removed in the first place?
The game feels extremely clunky. More so than XT. Jumping over things, on things, switching weapons, near every action has a weird delay, camera shake, or long animation it’s very difficult to feel like you’re playing, versus going through a motion.
Aside from all of that, the absolute worst thing in BF4, yes even worse than the grenades and spam, is the extreme screen rape. Someone shot a bullet near you? Vision blur. Someone hit you? SPLAT red everywhere and your eyes stop working, did something blow up 50 yards away? MASSIVE SCREEN SHAKE GYRATION.
Bleh, I can’t complain enough about this “beta” (demo while they tweak server stability.) The standards for FPS gaming are at an all time low it’s nauseating.
Anyway, the game looks nice. The map you can play on is pretty cool and you can frag 6 people or so with 1 clip if they don’t know you’re behind them. Not the worst game around but I think I would much rather play CoD, XT, or TitanFall over this game.
