Fletcher's Shadow Nerf

His throw times are fucked up. I see he has new-ish animations that make him slower to draw bombs and to throw bombs.

Why wasn’t this put in the patch notes? This makes his sticky’s hard as hell to aim and close quarter fights are way slower.

@MissMurder Can you confirm/deny this?

I honestly can’t tell if that was sarcastic… In case it wans’t, no need to be mad, just saying, that fletchers almost always only use their stickies… and i know it’s better to do that but still…

That’s because our weapon choice is sub par though. Stickies were far more fun and, until now, were a great way for reliable damage. It’s a stupid nerf if it was intended when they could have just increased the cooldown of the stickies themselves - 10-12 seconds and I’d still be fine - but this is ridiculous.

And that they don’t even list it? I’ll assume it’s a bug for now, but I want to know what’s going on in the developer’s heads if it’s not.

First they break the BR’s then they absolutely trash Fletcher. GG but let’s not touch rhino because he certainly doesn’t need to be addressed. As someone who mains Fletcher I’m really disappointed in the changes. Now we get to go back to boring bushwacker… If you’re going to demolish a merc at least let us know what you’re doing before hand. Or I don’t know maybe put them in the patch notes?

I main fletcher as well, I remember reading where they changed the arm time, but can’t find it now. I’m a bit disappointed with the changes as well :frowning:

That change is horrid. And the worst of all is that it does not even feel like a bug, it just feel like an nerf that wasn’t even shown in the patch note. Sticky throws feel way more clunky than usual, and that’s no bueno.

@MissMurder : any words about this ?

Yeah, I didn’t start playing him until after (started a new account and bought the explosives pack on sale, needed to add money to steam for friends lol) He’s completely unplayable without lock on and after this update things feel like the did before I got a load out with lock on. (if they are thrown at all) I suspect ping may have been a factor and yesterday the servers were getting hit pretty hard.

I have multiple friends who say that this is happening with their Fletchers as well, and in fact there has been a noticably large change to smoke grenades as well, they take far longer to pull the pin, almost alike he is hesitating to pull it (giggity), which he never did before (God damnit), because (Oh god here it comes) I used to be able to piss around by pulling the pin and then hitting three-four and pulling the pin again, but his pulling the pin is so much slower now that its not even that funny looking any more. So yeh seems that this has affected every merc that relies upon his throwing ability except the one that it really should (unless Fragger pin pulling speed has decreased, in which case hell yeh, get me in on that, a real Fragger nerf, not just dancing around the point!).

I’m the kind of Fletcher that try to directly land his stickies on people, but with that change direct hits become incredibly difficult to pull out against decent players due to that delay.

I’m a fanatic fletcher player as well and can also confirm the throws are majorly screwed up. This is irrespective of the arm-time change from two patches ago, where stickies would blow up little later.

It does feel like the animation and even the throw trajectory itself have been changed. Any official word @MissMurder ?
